My comment is a double-edged sword, my apologies in advance.

Point #1 – This is rediculous and very sad that something like this should happen to anyone. But thinking logicalling about it, first of all if you’re seeing something like this in your yard, multiple yards, and its NOT EVEN EASTER YET, you don’t let your children walk up to it and open anything – could be anything in there; You call the authorities first.

Point #2 – If you think racism will EVER go away in this country, you’re dreaming. There are too many people keeping racism alive – blacks included. In fact, I think the black mentality toward race is one of the main reasons racism is alive and thriving. Black people want to do stuff and don’t want other races to be able to do the same thing. Examples? You got your BET, NAACP, Blackthis.com Blackthat.com…but if someone came out with a WHITE ENTERTAINMENT TV, or Whitedoctors.com (Your source for finding professional white doctors), or a National Association for the Advancement of White People, Al Sharpton and Jesse’s heads would explode and we’d would be all up in arms yelling racism! Can you say double standard?

And before anyone says the standard rebutal: ‘Well everything else IS geared toward white people’, that may be so, but they’re not putting their race at the forefront of everything meaningful they try to do (that is why their projecets are largely successful the majority of the time.)

Blacks are just as guilty of keeping racism alive as any other race. Until we stop using race for everything, and show some self respect and self value and start ACTING like equals, they will NEVER be treated as such.

If certain people weren’t such segregationalists then there would have not been a need for “black” capitalism in the first place. Blacks should start having more respect, unity and support for each other when there are POSITIVE outcomes to situations. Other “minorities” have their cultural events (Latino, women, and Asians all have their history months. Hell the Filipinos even have a separate one from the other Asians). Then again I’m wondering why we are still engaging in primitive rituals such as the celebration of Eostre anyway? On another note The Dravidians inhabited the Southern part of India, not Hindu Kush which is in north India. Easter is a celebration of Fertility, hence the eggs and rabbits. Unless you are in support of this pagan holiday, why are you having kids hunt for these eggs? I believe in God, therefore, I celebrate Resurrection Day. IN that sense, you would save yourself a lot of grief and heartache trying to be FAMILIAR with things you are NOT familiar with.

Now, after that being said, hate exists, hate is expressed, and should be brought to the light. My concern is people putting themselves through necessary drama, having a PARTY for someone you do not KNOW, ory would not LIKE.
