JAIL!!! These inconsistencies, in the law, should be further highlighted!

There was an article that said a man got 15 years for some crack that couldnt even be weighed. Now Paris Hilton gets caught with crack cocaine and you have the ask the question “SHOULD she go to jail for 15 years???” Man come on…I feel like I am on Star Trek…”Dangit Jim, it doesnt take a rocket scientist to figure this out!” This doesnt make any sense…but then again…she is a rich white girl…oh and dont let me forget dingy…and a loosey goosey…*if ya know what I mean*

James Taylor is a MULTIPLE FELON—previously convicted serveral times of felony theft and credit card fraud. Thats why he received the harsh sentence. Comparing Taylor to Paris Hilton is like comparing a Ford Taurus to a Ferrari; not relative at all.

You also failed to mentioned Taylor is now out of jail after serving four of the 15 year sentence.

You are correct about one point, there are two justice systems in this country. But its not COLOR based as you suggest but rather economic status. If you have a ton of cash and can afford to hire the best lawyers then will you have a much better chance to avoid conviction. Opposite applies if you are poor— or not wealthy enough to hire the most talented attorneys.

You also missed another point—not surprising given the yellow journalism style of writing that seems to be the norm on this site. Taylor said this regarding his conviction:

Thats the bottom line. Dont put yourself in a position to be locked up. You point out the discrepancy in convication rates among crack v cocaine users. Thats ALL the more reason blacks should avoid drugs/crime all together.

This is a perfect example of, “The rich get richer.. and the poor get prison”.. In cases like this, Rich white people will ALWAYS get out of a crime.. verses the blacks in poverty… I want to know exactly what it is that we can do? The Hilton empire is rich and influential. Paris could probably get away with murder. The thing is she’s not learning any lessons so eventually they won’t be able to shield her and she’ll either do something so offensive or just keep doing things until a judge just says, “ENOUGH!!” and locks her up for a five years. In country club prison, of course. There is a discrepancy but what’s the use complaining about it?? When it’s so easy just to stay out of trouble, a ten year old can understand the difference between right and wrong but this idiot with the crack still had to mess with it knowing he could get locked up. OK, here is how I feel. The man received 15 years in jail not only because of the crack residue but because of the past felonies. Speaking from a man who lost his wife of a crack overdose and raising 4 teenage daughters on my own……crack is 10 times worse that cocaine. It is a totally different drug. There is definitely a criminal injustice system in place that targets the poor and minorities for prison slave labor. Having said that, we have to make sure we’re comparing apples to apples. not all jurisdictions are the same. Paris was caught in Las Vegas, so we have to compare the arrest and sentencing rates of those who are poor and minority in las vegas and charged with the same crime. If that comparison shows disparities, then we have proof of a racist justice system.

The difference in sentencing is only the tip of the iceberg. Some blacks are arrested and the drug is actually planted on them. Then, the judge holds a kangaroo court and another black man is lost. There are more of these stories that you DON’T read about than what is made public. I tried to make public my own police and judicial misconduct situation by certified mailings and emailings to Obama for over 1 & 1/2 years with no response. Finally I put a video on Youtube titled ” Obama Conspiracy Letters”. It seems police, prosecutorial , and judicial misconduct is here to stay. Heck, I even emailed the NAACP about my problem but they don’t seem to give a darn about the low profile cases.

Race has a lot to do with it regardless of what you think. Black celebrities will get less time than the poor urban Blacks, but White celebrities will get less time than Black celebrities or even just get away with it. The system is jacked and it doesn’t look like it’s going to be fixed anytime soon. The prison system is now becoming more and more privately owned and therefore becoming an updated form of slavery as more than 75% of the inmates are minorities.

As far as the difference between crack and cocaine… there is little to no difference in the drug’s effects. They are both from the same chemical make-up and only the individual using the drug is going to cause the biggest difference. Crack is cheaper because it is a “watered-down” version of cocaine so if anything, cocaine should get a higher sentence as it is more potent and more expensive.

The more I read these bloggs the more I realize how blind we are as a race. The justice system, laws and the police was established to control the people in the mans eyes we are the ones out of control. Me and my wife attend alot of outdoor jazz festivals we notice how lose the rule & regs are. You can drink alchol bring food no metal detectors, but at an outdoor black event no alchol consumpton or you can buy it at the event. You can’t bring food they wont even let you bring a lawn chair they want you to rent one at the event. The point I’m making is everything is diff for black and white it doesn’t matter so much bout money.

The justice system in it’s current form is just an upgraded form of minority slavery without the chains. White people commit far more crimes than you can imagine than all the minorities in the US combined. The minorities are convicted of crimes at a far higher rate, due to lack of financial resources among other factors such as public defenders advising guilty pleas from innocent people promising release or a light sentence but not explaining that they will be forever labeled a criminal. Poor people with criminal records can not get good jobs if any . This is part of the plan because oppressed people tend to re offend.
