The really bad part is that they claim to be “of God’s People.” I’m always surprised how the “Love Thy Neighbor” part gets skipped all the time.

Pulmonary hypertension at 27 years old?? Wow! Listen both of these parties need to leave these types of testimonials out of this debate. The Democrats will shamelessly promote stories like this to appeal to peoples emotions, rather than logic and common sense. We need to really start focusing on healthly lifestyles and then becoming fully reliant for somebody to make us healthy again. From what I have read about the Republican opposition to this bill, it’s NOT that they don’t want certain people covered, but rather, the financial aspect of this bill. The CBO has said that premiums for individuals will rise 10-13%. Also the bill promotes less competition which also leads to increased prices. This bill does plan on having the Govt subsidize the costs so that the individual doesn’t actually see the increase. But hold on, now you’re talking about adding roughly 4.6billion to the deficit in the first 10yrs, and then roughly 1.3Trillion to the deficit in the second ten years. Guess who pays for that? Democrats need to start refuting these assertions (made by the independent Congressional Budget Office) and stop exploiting young children!

These are attacks??? hell, I agree with them. You guys need to strip the emotion of from these debates and rely solely on clear, logical thinking.

Everyone knows that Michelle Mawkin is a b***h anyway, so that’s not surprising. How can you attack children and make fun of their pain? Is this really what America is coming too?

Reguardless of the politics of the situation, we’re still talking about a CHILD! That was WAY disgusting of ANYONE to attack a child on that level, using his recently deceased mother as leverage in the conversation!

That wasn’t an attack, that was the truth. These Democrat supported groups used this kid when they could have donated money to help his mother. Rush is right in that the bill doesn’t kick in until 2014 but we all will make payments now. The only thing that starts right away is that insurance companies cannot drop you. That will only affects those who currently have insurance. People who do not have insurance now, won’t have it until 2014 but will make payments now. It’s like buying a car but dealership not giving it to you until a few years past.

@Stan_Vinyl, I would agree, but honestly I don’t see any attack of the child or the situation, but rather and attack of the utilization of the that child and situation. Honestly, I think it’s a disgrace for the Democrats to try to invoke emotion into this debate. That’s almost always a smoke screen. They should stick to arguing the merits of the bill, and how the cost is justified. Again, the CBO has projected that this run at a huge deficit. Deficit spending is a TAX and the poor and so called middle class will pick up that tab yet again.

The fact is, you can’t expect to go out live how you want to live, abusing your mind body and soul, and then as soon as you get sick (which you will eventually) all of a sudden have somebody take care of you. What type of childlike mentality is that? Secondly, do you even know what’s in this bill, or you just feeding off emotional stories like this? for instance, are you aware, that the various Taxes the Govt is now imposing on Dr’s and Hospitals, will actually result in higher premium costs for the average person? What people don’t realize is, when you say F what it costs, that YOU’RE the one who is going to pay for it. People think the Government is paying for it..lol…The Government is not a business. They have no productive capacity. They are 100% funded by the FED, who gets their money from the IRS and I don’t need to tell you where they get their money from. Do you also realize that if you want to go make a choice for yourself in a self insured program, the Government will TAX that as well? Dude, get into the real bill and all the taxes that you and I will end up paying someday. People are always talking about F the cost, until the Bill comes due. You can’t Compare Canada to the US. Canada has already had that system. This system is about to add 1.5Trillion MORE to a debt that is already out of control. Social Security broke, Medicare damn near broke, Pension funds damn near broke, the Post Office broke. The Government has proven over and over, that it can’t run shlt, but always has the taxpayer to bail them out! Real Healthcare Reform starts in your own refrigerator, not in some 2700 page doc**ent.
