I guess what makes this all the more cruel is that Jon Burge was in Florida retired and living his life off the backs of those “convictions” and “confessions”.

It’s not surprising in the least when we find Black people hating police officers because of stories similar to this one, not to mention the countless others that are still in there owing to people like Burge.

What makes this even more of a shame is that the real criminals have a chance to get off over this one as well if they claim tht they were tortured into a confession.

And there are still some people that claim to not understand what we mean when we say fukk the police. Granted, during crimes against ourselves, we do wish we could call someone else, but it’s like dealing with the devil at times.

I agree with Mr_NANASTROKER on this one because he didn’t act alone, not to mention had backing in higher places in order to keep a lot of this stuff under wraps, but they’re not going to bring it to light because they know if they did, there’s no telling how high it went and just how many people would lose their job or reputation over it.

As a former resident of the City of Chicago I am well aware of Jon Burge and his infamous career with the CPD. I’m glad that justice was finally served on this poor excuse for a human being. However, like a lot of other commentors have said, he didn’t act alone. There were people either working with him or looked the other way. Some of these people are either fellow officers, former police officers and members of the States Attorneys office.

May that racist f**k rot in hell for what he did. And what about Mayor Daley he helped.
