Mrs. Obama has degrees from both Princeton and Yale and was her husband’s advisor at one of the most prestigious law firms in Chicago, and is more intelligent than her husband which is saying a lot considering he is very intelligent himself. Also, she was on the board of some finanicial industry giants as well before becoming 1st lady. A word to the SNOBS ON Oak Bluffs, the real wealthy do not Live on Oaks Bluffs year round they vacation there. For the record one of the accountants i work with has a house in Oak Bluffs. Also last time i checked Jennifer Hudson was doing damn good for herself these days. Michelle Obam out classes these “posers” so I don’t think she has anything to worry about. I’m in Jack and Jill and this does not represent the black elite. I don’t know how anyone felt our first lady was “ghetto”. However, I am a little upset about the comments made about affluent black people. There is nothing wrong with not wanting to fall into the typical black stereotypes and trying to better yourself. I have no apologies for it and I don’t care how that is percieved by others. Black people are not the ones who support our businesses anyway.

Now this is a classic example of educated fools. Thank God that we have a President and First Lady who are down to earth and who can relate to anyone. That’s not ghetto. It’s called having heart, having compassion, having sense and wisdom enough to know that titles and money do not make you a good person. What really gets me is that they are talking about being elite. Someone help me here: Is there a higher position in the US than President? They have bumped their heads for sure. Maybe they aren’t elite as they thought they were. Maybe the reason that no one is breaking down doors trying to be around their foolish behinds is because your attitude SUCKS.

The richest among us put economic/class lines before racial/ethnic lines. Especially if you’re talking about the “elite” rich and not the entertainment-based rich. Thank God he is “for the people” and I love Michelle more than words can say because she represents that about him and likely is the driving force behind it to some extent. He definitely had a choice in his college days and could’ve picked white, “elite” black, something else entirely, or down-to-earth black, and his choice helped bring him to where he is today. For the rich ones who are spouting their negativity they’re probably republicans or right-based democrats who are served by another sort of politician anyway. I too am a “Ghetto Girl” by definition and I’m fine with it. Look what Michelle accomplished without the benefit of money or friends in the right places! That’s a testament to how hard she and her family were willing to work, not to mention her God-given intelligence and determination, and that should always be a point of pride.
