This story is such a blessed union and truly honorable.. This is a prime beautiful example of BLACK LOVE…these two people have definately seen and been through alot,with all their knowledge; their kids, grandkids, great grand kids and so forth should be and feel very proud….They lived to see the US elect the 1st black President…This is such an amazing story and should be talked about in every household!!!!

This is what’s up……There others out there like them in our community, if we only put things into proper perspective about ourselves. This is the type of uplifting things in the Black community that I’m talking about. A married couple. Two people who stayed married.

As far as the wedding ring comment, when you get their ages arthritis and your joints blowing up and locking makes wearing any sort of ring dangerous and perhaps painful. But what’s a ring? Something that cost you money, usually in the thousands. True marriage doesn’t need a ring.

It goes to show you that as a people( black people)we changed for the worse when it comes to supporting each other and sticking by each other. Back then, black men and black women USED to get along. I don’t know what the F**k happen now days.

I just pray that if its in gods will that when me and my boyfriend get married that we have a good strong bond such as this it reminds me of my grandparents and i couldnt agree with you more @ wouncie4life

This is wonderful. I love to hear stories like this. I’m sure they have had some trials and tribulations throughout their marriage, but who doesn’t. But it’s good to see that they stayed in it strong. Back then black america had it worse than we do today. So i really do appreciate stories like this one. I wish we can take note from this and learn to try to work through our marriages instead of giving up so easily. Now this is true love. They are just too cute.
