From HuffingtonPost.com:

If there’s one thing in this world that we love unabashedly, it’s awesome kid reporter Damon Weaver from Pahokee, Florida, who gained national attention after interviewing Joe Biden, and heroically keeping his microphone aloft for several of the Vice President’s long-winded answers. From there, Weaver went on a quest to gain an interview with President Barack Obama.

Does he land it?

Obama will definitely give him an interview. That’s not even a problem. The problem is when. Our President is so busy with cleaning up the messes bush made and dozens of interviews and appearances that were scheduled months in advance….

Oh that made me so proud to see a young black male do something different, and not just focused on handling a sports-ball. Early preparation in career training should be challenged by all school age children.

I heard on the Tom Joyner show that Damon already has a FULL RIDE scholarship to an HBCU.

I am so proud of him, and hope that some of our other children are inspired and motivated by his story.
