I just heard this on the news, it is 7:00 Thursday morning, and what I heard was that it was a customer, if that is the case, we have no control of what a customer does, but yet, Walmart employees should be at their station never leaving it unattended, keeping it covered at all times.

My name is Kenneth J and I lived in Las Vegas, NV. I worked for Wal-Mart two years and was discharged not because of excess absences, it was an attempt to cover up the use of a racial slurs made by a Store Manager. In November 2009, A Store Manager (White) said to me “where are you going you f!!king (N) word?” while a Co-Manager (Pilipino) sat in the car with Store Manager as I was walking near the store. I complained of this highly offensive and distressing behavior to another Co-Manager(Black) about 2 weeks later. In January of 2010, I reported Store Managers behavior by
filing a complaint with Company headquarters Ethics Committee through an
(800) telephone number and I was given a complaint number. After the date
of Store Managers offensive comment, I was informed by a fellow associate, (Asset Protection) that this particular Store Manager has once called a young black man at the store a “nappy-headed (N) word.” After reporting Harmon’s conduct in January 2010, I suffered health problems as a result of stress caused by Store Manager’s conduct. I sought medical treatment and was informed by my physician that I needed rest. As such, I called in sick for 2 days and received 2 confirmation numbers per Wal-Mart policy to confirm that I had called in sick for those two days. When I returned to work I was called in office stating I had too many absenceseven though I had sick days available for me to use. I also had confirmation numbers and doctors slip present with me at time of meeting, but another Co-Manager(white) informed me that it didn’t make any difference, it came from the Store Manager himself. Let me say, this is not an attempt to regain my job, but to bring to light to Wal-Mart prejudice against non-whites. Whether its Walmart Managers comment cuncerning me or Harry Reid comments towards Obama, prejudice is alive today, just more subtle. The sad thing about this incident is that Wal-Mart portrays helping people but behind the scenes its just another sheep in wolf’s clothing.

Rayson1, I just wanted to draw your attention to the reason why it isn’t so good that there are many black people working in Walmart. Walmart does a heck of a lot to explot their employees, among other poor activities like wiping out small town business with their low prices due to child exploitation and other acts. If ever any of you have the time, please check out a Canadian film by the name of Wal Town. It outlines a group of activists who take a trip across Canada to spread the word about some of the poor things that Walmart does. This film can be found at nfb.ca, then type in Wal Town in the search bar.

It really is a stark eye opener. Walmart uses oppressed individuals to fill their employee roster for the simple reason that these groups are often given so little opportunity, they are forced to take any job available to pay the bills. Walmart also catches us in their web because their prices are so damn low we as consumers are forced to choose boycotting, or affording to take care of our families based on their competitive prices. I speak from a Canadian standpoint in terms of that, because if any of you are from Canada, you know that things are NOT cheap here. I mean hell, deodorant is bloody expensive in this country.

Anyway, enough of the rant, if any of you have time, check out the film, it serves as quite a rude awakening.

When I saw this on the news last night, I agreed with myself that my days of shopping at Walmart are over.
This cuts it. The old lady in the Walmart parking lot getting beat down (black), the college student with her nephew in Walmart getting beat up in the Walmart parking lot, (black) and now this.

It’s their God-given right to do things that, as adults, will make them go, “WTF was I thinking?” As a matter of medical fact, teenagers’ brains literally do not “think” as do adults’ brains. Therefore, when your or my or even this (potentially racist) Kid does something totally retarded, s/he is probably telling the absolute truth when asked, “Why?”, and they respond: I don’t know.

Black, White, Brown, Yellow or any combination thereof, even good, decent young people do things that just are not too bright. It’s called growing up.
