Baltimore Mayor, Sheila Dixon, Will Resign

Baltimore Mayor Sheila Dixon entered an Alford plea to one count of perjury and pledged to tender her resignation effective Feb. 4 as part of an agreement settling the active criminal cases against her.

The plea means that Dixon acknowledges that prosecutors had enough evidence to find her guilty of charges related to not disclosing gifts from a developer doing business with the city.

Under an agreement between defense attorneys and prosecutors and agreed to by Judge Dennis Sweeney, Dixon will be sentenced to up to four years of unsupervised probation, and will be required to perform 500 hours of community service. Dixon must also contribute $45,000 to charity.

    can someone please help me, what is wrong with black politicians, are they going crazy? are they in it just for salary and position? better yet HONESTLY DO THEY KNOW HOW TO PERFORM THEIR DUTIES? we as black people must not be suckered in this if they are black they are good for us, when in actuality they are good for their family and friends and some supporters who helped them get to that position.
    I wonder how many white politicians we havent paid attention to because of their color that knew how to create jobs for their constiuents bring businesses to a community stop crime and repair our school systems.
    i guess we will continue to be victims of our own racism.
