This story gives me chills and makes me sad. My heart and prayers go out to the family of Oscar Grant. I saw the video and although it was from a camera phone it was absolutely clear that that police officer had no reason at all to shoot him. It is crazy to think that this is the kind of world that we live in. I just pray that justice will be served, and the people responsible for this young black mans death do not get off simply because they have badges. Im with the black panther movement LARAHI300

Police officers walk around with this “holier than thou” mentality and rely on other police officers to protect them when s**t hits the fan. The blue shield is real people. Why do you think the Sean Bell incident went away? Why did the officers get acquitted after rodney? Why do you think the Kathryn Johnson case went down like it did? I HIGHLY doubt that any law enforcement offical will ever be charged for the actual heinousness of their crimes. Hell the Amadou Diallo officers were only charged with aggravated assault! The problem is the DA’s. There has to be atleast ONE District Attorney that will throw the damn library at these a*****es. ONE!!!!!

All cops aren’t bad. My uncle a cop, works for the US capital police. He is a reg cop, he dont think he above anybody or above the law or anything like that. Its just that some cops think cuz they got a badge and the law on they side they can get away with stuff like this. It’s really sad. When most cops get away with killing someone for no justifiable reason though, it’s showing the next set of cops they can do the saem.

Cops use their guns as authority to do dirty crimes…they just convicted my 24 year old nephew yesterday and he did not kill no one but was there when it happened and did not know something like that was going down. He thought he was over there to fix a car. Now the damn crooked cops hung him in court along with the Prosecutor…they don’t give a damn about us…COPS KILL INNOCENT PEOPLE…

I’ve said this once before and I’ll say it again. A great man once said “An injustice anywhere is any injustice everywhere” Something has to be done about this police brutality thing. It is really getting out of hand. We need to attack this issue just like we did with the injustices of the 60′s. We need marches, rallies, boycotts, and anything that it takes to show these “pigs” that enough is enough!

Okay. My main question…is why does a BART officer have a fckin gun? A BART officer is a peace officer…so why the FCK does he have a gun? He was too stupid to use it correctly [as we can all see]. He says that he was reaching for his taser…but why reach for anything at all? The man was on the ground…not goin anywhere!!! Timothy Thomas the young man on picture 6 is my stepdads son. He spent the summer with us back in 94. That was the first and last time I saw him. He used to keep my daughter when I was at work. It nearly killed us when his momma called my stepdads brother to let him know what happen. We drove to Ohio for the funeral not knowing where we were going or where we were going to stay. Luckily a lady that was at my brothers moms house was working at a hotel and got us two rooms for two nights for free. I will never forget seeing my little brother in his coffin. That night when we went to the hotel for bed I had a dream he was standing over me. He smiled at me and said “Sis, it’s okay. Everything will be okay for me.” I woke up crying. The funeral was really beautiful. I was nervous from seeing all of those people and the media. I broke down crying because I knew that was the absolute last time I would see my brother in the flesh again. I love and miss you lil bro……Love always, your big sis!

One thing., I’m glad to hear this officer acknowledge that the murdered victim posd no harm or threat to him or his fellow officers… In a video era, Judicial cover-ups are shameful… Plus there’s talk of law-officials trying to confiscate video recording instruments from bystanders (obstruction of justice)…
