Everything you addressed about black people needing to “fit in” in order to feel some type or worth on a social level is the main issue that keeps most black people divided, because that turns into competition via regional trends, Consistantly trying to out do one another.

and when a real leader attempts to take the lead you get that “Nigga you think you better than me/us” speech coming from someone simply trying to compete (as to not look like he/she is lesser) so you let him/her lead and they shyt fall apart, you pick up and go again at the expense of a lowered morale and loss of time and energy.

Until we learn how to “circle the wagons” or concentrate our resources we will continue to be out foxed & phucc’t over.

We need a mass of focus with a clear goal in mind with everyone reading the same damn map… Now where we gone get dat type of cooperation?

This is a surprise? For the last generation, there has been an anti-black male, pro-black woman bias in the realm of employment. Part of it is due to the fact that black women outnumber black men in higher education and tend to be more self-motivated. That fact tends to play out in hiring practices, where black men who are equally qualified and/or educated (or in some cases, surpass minimum qualifications) tend to be passed over in favor of black women. In many cases, its not due to lack of initiative on the part of black males, but the negative imagery that many whites harbor about black males…and it doesn’t help that we defend perpetuating the negative imagery with this “Southern Rap,” “reality” television, and our desire to be “hard” rather than smart.

He feeds the whole person inspirationally, educationally, emotionally and finacially. Who can you name today in this time that reforms black people better than the Nation Of Islam? So the moral of the story is don’t reject your help to your problems because your help didn’t come the way you wanted it to come. Your help may even be coming through me with the words I speak. God uses whom he pleases to help you. Stop making excuses and whining and accept the help that God has already sent you. All right guidance come from God and starts with God. Without God it won’t work anyway.

Thank you for proving my point @ Jazzwatch. That what was my point…I know many black men–myself included–who are college-educated, childless, no criminal-record, etc. who can’t secure decent work.
