So sad and so close to home! I literally live blocks from there! I hope my son understands why he has to stay home the majority of the times!

I didn’t think true heroes existed anymore. He sacrificed his own life for his child’s. It’s sad to think that I know there are parents out there who actually WOULDN’T do that. But he is truly God’s child for what he did. R.i.P.

Why are people so weak ? hanging their self or attempting suicide over a female or a male. I hope the driver ends up as some ones b***h in prison.

This man is a true hero. The driver had no regards for anyones life not even his own. This world is crazy. Now this young boy has to grow up without a father. This was a senseless act. My heart and prayers go out to this young child and to the entire family. R.I.P MIGUEL

I have read the comments to this story. I agree with everyone that says that this father is a hero. He is a hero, because he sacrificed his life for his child. Yes that is what a true father or mother is supposed to do. I hope that his little boy knows how much his father truly loved him. My prayers go out to this family and all the other families effected by the ignorance of selfish and disturbed man. I hope that he gets what he deserves inside of the prison walls.

Wow. He saved his son. I pray that his son will grow up to be a great man like his father. THe love between a father and a son is so beautiful, we hardly see it. Too many sons grow up in a single parent(usually the mother) household.
