I will admit I don’t agree with Obama but I do believe the tea party is mostly racist white people. The reason why is because the 8yrs George “Dubya” Bush was f**king up the country, it wasn’t no tea party movement going around talking bout taking out country back or crying about taxes (repubs tax thru credit and dems tax from your pockets, so both parties will tax you).

Obama was sworn in office Jan 2009 and the tea party movement started in March 2009. So what other reason they had to go against Obama besides his skin color because they couldn’t have known what his agenda was that quick.

@Real_bumbleclot. I agree with you on the timing. I do believe a lot of it is phony outrage, since GB did do the same things for 8yrs and there was no considerable protest. But that doesn’t diminish the fact that theoretically, the fundamental msg of this movement is sound. BHO also set himself up for this, by promising sweeping change, and then coming in with business as usual. Also, the racist element of this tea party comes from outside forces. As much as Casey tries to link RP to white supremacist groups, go look at any of the RP rallies during the campaign and see if you saw any racism. It’s only now that the tea party has gone mainstream, do you see these racists joining on. One thing you should keep in mind. These racist groups are opportunists. They will go to where ever their are huge crowds and blend in. The media has purposefully and mistakenly labeled this entire movement as racist, in my view.

Let’s not also think about corporate welfare, which has hurt residents probably more than the stereotypical view of welfare. Just look at the amounts of industry that has left many cities and in particular urban working class/poor neighborhoods that are highly resided by people of color in many, many cases. Where were people then as factories and industry was leaving to foreign countries?

I do think this is phony, fake outrage to something that has been occurring for decades. Think about the tax percentages and who pays more and for how long that has been going on for. It has never been a “fair” system, as the “rich” has always paid more. So, again, where was that outrage long ago?

The woman was caught red-handed exchanging correspondence with her GOP consituents saying she had a chance to advance their agenda with her position [marriage to Clarence]. Days later Judge Thomas passes a bill that pushes 100 years of established law over the cliff, now allowing corporations to fund political campaigns.

Basically it has been proven that her and her husband held a conversation about passing that particular bill. Unfortunately, there’s no court above the Supreme Court who can tell Judge Thomas to recuse himself from the decision. So we’re now left with Justice Thomas being the only person who can decide to recuse himself – which he obviously won’t because he’s going to stand by his Tea-Party wife.
