Now I understand. After seeing “American Violet”. It’s true story of city cops pushing the arrest of blacks both men/women mainly men. It turns out that for every conviction the city has, they get money from the Federal Government. I am thinking that both were at fault. Both could have said they were sorry. Both should have seen if the others were alright since they have run through a red light and coming through at the same time. The officers could have responded to their call and the paramedics could have continued to the hospital. The Highway Patrol were out of control pulling over an ambulance with a passenger, but the paramedic assaulting the OHP was caught on video (1:53-1:54) right before they subdued him. It was a series of bad choices that led to a situation that got out of hand.

What it is is pathetic the cop is obviously pissed and since he had nothing better to do he messed with that emt wich NO cop should ever pull over if those lights are on his reason whatever it was has no bearing and as a fellow lawman he should be suspended at least. I don’t know about anybody else. I’m familiar enough with OK that the trooper act from a race point of view. He also became even madder when realize that he couldn’t arrest the paramedic on trump charges because of the patient and the other witnesses.
The sad part is he’ll get away with because of the “GOOD OLE BOY CLUB”, they have in OK. The other thing is his chain of command is going white wash it away and if nothing else break down to a mear incident.
Its like one commenter stated, “if he was under arrest how come he didn’t go to jail.” I tell you why…there no justification for it. At the same he wouldn’ve been held liable and responsible, if the patient’s heat exhaustion was upgrade to heat stroke or possibly death.

The sick woman in the ambulance could have died. Because the highway patrol want to show their power. Instead of stopping them they should have escorted them to the hospital. I truly believe law enforcement need mental check ups every 6 to 9 months

I am in Law enforcement/ corrections and I have never seen or heard of such behavior during a situation such as this. It is truely a sad commentary to witness such an abuse of authority/power and even sadder that it was done against a fellow puplic servant. Do these officers realize that although we face danger each and every time we don our uniforms, we should not take on the attitude that we are “above the law”. Where in the hell was his “inter-personal skills” and his “common sense”? Behavior such as theirs is the primary reason we are so many times greeted by the public with so much distrust and disdain. I sincerely and respectfully hope that that their Commander/Sheriff investigate this matter and deal with them accordingly. When will they learn that it is no longer the mid-60′s and, yes people of every race, creed and color will expect justice to be served. Have we not made any progress. When will we really have equal justice under the law? Will it take another 100 years to really be treated equally and fairly under the law or will officers such as these determine what is “justice”. They had better be glad that the patient on-board of that ambulance survived and did not suffer any debilitating injury or illness because of their actions. All people of this great nation should be just as appalled as I am!!!! Those officers, especially the one who choke that EMT should be fired immediately and the others in that department should be given extensive mandatory training in Human Diversity, Respect, Proper Use of Force and the appropriate time to use it, as well as Race Relations. No area in this Great Country should ever have to question the effectiveness of it officers and their ability to perform their jobs in an effective, courteous and unbiased manner. It really is scary to think what might happen if this one particular officer was to come across some poor innocent soul in a dark and desolate area in that State. And lastly, if the Sheriff’s office should find this officer was “justified” in his actions, the entire department should be investigate by Federal Government and the Sheriff should be removed from his “THRONE”. If President Obama does’nt address, protect, & secure US of TRUE homeland issues such as this disgrace, as well as the one that took place in New York-AGAIN, then he should be the one that WE put the pressure on. This officer’s emergency was so “important” that once he arrived at the scene of his “emergency” he never even got out of his car. It WAS important for this ambulance to get to the hospital. It’s time for our governments to screen the officers they hire much better to avoid deviants like this from disrupting our lives to make themselves feel powerful.
