I don’t advocate violence, however I’m the grandmother of a now 6 yr old little girl, who was molested by her Pre K teacher in Atlanta in ’07. Court was delayed for almost 2 yrs until they got the Brian Nichols trial out of the way. We went to court in March 09 where we had to sit & listen to vicious crimes against Women & Children. This now 37 yr old perp requested a trial by jury because the mandatory term of 25yrs was rejected. So we’re yet to have closure. My granddaughter had some serious nightmares & would not even go the bathroom in the beginning. Would sleep in my bed with my arm across her chest. What that represented was what we foundout later from the investigation. Which was “he had touched her” when she was on her cot, which he conveniently moved into his area, out of the range of the camera. She had lacerations inside of her private area. Yes, our hearts are still heavy as this waiting plays out somewhere within the year! She’s in counseling and has been since day 3. Hopefully this man in this video will never see the light of day anymore along with this teacher in Atlanta who is out on $35k bond. It tears me up daily. My daughter hasn’t been the same as we both could not protect her. We thought she was safe in school or at leastg in Kindegarten. No place is safe anymore.

I feel really bad for the little girl, but why is a child less than twelve responsible for taking her sibling to daycare and walking to school alone? Parent’s need to be more careful with the responsibilities they give their young children because of situations like this. If both children were supervisied this crime would have not occurred. In the state that I live in, children can not be responsible for another child until they are a least twelve. i still will not give that resposiblity to any of my children at that age.
