To 1_fine_artist: your list is a joke. How is #93 different than #88? And what is with all those "announced his intentions?" You are lying to yourself. Take the advise of Nightowl358.
Obama's biggest accomplishment is that he has taken away more opportunities, rights and liberties with most of what you have listed. He is turning all of us little people into slaves to the federal government & all the regulations. P.S. Scientist have finally admitted that global warming was a hoax. The world is not on the brink of destruction because of our living conditions/habits.

As for Jesse crying, it's because Obama reached his goal in the first attempt whereas Jesse never did after several.
We all remember his comments about wanting "Obamas balls cut off" when he thought the mike was off. That's why he didn't get an invite to the Inauguration party.
He should have been proud that another brother from Chicago made it but instead he couldn't because the spotlight wasnt on him and his ego.
As I type this ironically the link next to this post is
How Obama brought Ameria's Economy Back.

This article above is clear proof that being a celebrity doesnt make you a genius.

"Robert P. Watson, Ph.D. Coordinator of American Studies
Lynn University" Email: rwatson@lynn.edu

I am always being asked to grade Obama's presidency.
In place of offering him a grade, I put together a list of his accomplishments thus far.
I think you would agree that it is very impressive.
His first six months have been even more active than FDRs or LBJs the two standards for such assessments. Yet, there is little media attention given to much of what he has done.
Of late, the media is focusing almost exclusively on Obama's critics, without holding them responsible for the uncivil, unconstructive, disrespectful , and unprofessional tone of their disagreements or without holding the previous administration responsible for getting us in such a deep hole.
The misinformation and venom that now passes for political reporting and civic debate is beyond description.

As such, there is a need to set the record straight.
What most impresses me is the fact that Obama has accomplished so much not from a heavy-handed or top-down approach but from a style that has institutionalized efforts to reach across the aisle, encourage vigorous debate, and utilize town halls and panels of experts in the policy-making process.
Beyond the accomplishments, the process is good for democracy and our democratic processes have been battered and bruised in recent years.

Let me know if I missed anything in the list (surely I did).

1. Ordered all federal agencies to undertake a study and make recommendations for ways to cut spending
2. Ordered a review of all federal operations to identify and cut wasteful spending and practices
3. Instituted enforcement for equal pay for women
4. Beginning the withdrawal of US troops from Iraq
5. Families of fallen soldiers have expenses covered to be on hand when the body arrives at Dover AFB
6. Ended media blackout on war casualties; reporting full information
7. Ended media blackout on covering the return of fallen soldiers to Dover AFB; the media is now permitted to do so pending adherence to respectful rules and approval of fallen soldier's family
8. The White House and federal government are respecting the Freedom of Information Act

Look President Obama has enough on his p[late.I rather deal with him than that clownass George W Bush,he really brought America down with his sleazy, scadalous ways of dividing the country among races.President Obama brings hope, wisdom and truth so he will be fine.Black folks should rejoice and pray for him and his family and White House staff,NYC has enough problems too,our young folks has no values, goals and no wisdom these days, that rap music messed up their heads.

I'm wondering what Mr. Glover is honestly expecting Obama to do in one year's time? The magnitude of the problems here in this country cannot and will not be solved by one man who inherited what his predecessor left behind. We must remember that this is still America and while Obama's election is historic it simply does not negate all of the injustices of this same country. Do we expect him to right all of the wrongs of the forefathers? He is not just the president of black people, either. He represents all of America. Black ppl wake up from the dream of one man coming to save us and make everything all good. America's inception was based on racism and its continuation will be centered around maintaining that status quo. We can sigh all day long but at the end of the day we must take accountability for our own actions. To put the weight of the world on one person's shoulders is shortsighted to say the least. Capitalism permeates throughout this country's dealings no matter if the Pres. is black. And everyday I am reminded how far things have progressed on the one hand BUT how far we have to go. Mr. Glover continue doing your positive work helping to change and improve lives. It is your right to critique the Obama administration. But, expecting him to solve everything right away is not realistic. Obama already faces an uphill battle from the Republicans and their antics(no matter what he says/does). Change does not simply happen overnight because a black man is in the white house now. And the "powers that be" are not gonna simply relinquish that power. Especially, not when their livelihood is threatened? WAKE UP!

well it is no surprise, everyone was so taken up with the fact that he was black but the truth is we played right into the hands of the illuminati. they knew that in order to achieve their one world agenda they needed a way to bridge the gap between blacks and white and who better than o'drama and what message better than change, what we never focused on was what kind of change he was talking about. but the signs were there from the get the man dropped his church, pastor and all things god for the presidency, when he got in office all the talk about the troops starting to come home this past summer turned into 40 thou more being deployed, all the promise of fixing the welfare system is now a myth and now worse he is building a civilian army in which everyone 16 to 25 first now its 30 to serve their country which will be mandatory, everyone in his cabinet are task masters to make sure he sticks to the plan he is a puppet people he has strings and the ones pulling them are the same ones who was grooming the public to accept him from 1996. if the pig is surrounded by dirt he will wallow in it soory people im sure one day we will all look back at this era as the era white folks say "see thats why you dont give black folks no power" and we will all shake our heads and cry from our stupidity. read, research and educate yourself black people the time is now, dont be decieved.. bless and trust god

but I am directin this towards you

good process _A_

"Funny! anytime someone offers constructive criticism towards this country, they are labeled as self hating Americans. Are Americans not smart enough to see the good and the bad of something? Or is it that America is all good and all criticism is misplaced? Its amazing to me, how people want to apply labels to people, while they themselves fit into very stereotypical, derogatory categories."

The problem isn't the president, the problem is us people... How many of you went out to better yourselves? How many of you went back to school to learn new skills that will be needed for job markets of tomorrow?... Most of you are sitting on your ass complaining about what the president aint did for you...What happened to "ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country"? This is a welfare society...A bunch of complainers and whiners... We got women making babies while serving in our armed forces then get mad when it's time to deploy... The man has been in office one year and ya'll expect him to clean up 8 years of policy... A majority of blacks thought the battle was over when he got elected, when it was actually the beggining...7 presidents before him wanted to fix healthcare...7 most of which had 8 years to do it... He's getting the shit done in his first year and facing wars on two fronts...He sure the hell aint spending no time in Crawford, Texas... For all of you complainers and naysayers do us all a favor.... Kill your goddamn selves... Nothing worse than loud mouth know nothing negroes sitting on a fence complaining like some black ass crows.

Funny! anytime someone offers constructive criticism towards this country, they are labeled as self hating Americans. Are Americans not smart enough to see the good and the bad of something? Or is it that America is all good and all criticism is misplaced? Its amazing to me, how people want to apply labels to people, while they themselves fit into very stereotypical, derogatory categories.

@Annunaki40. You raise an interesting point when you say a President has to carry out some policies of his predecessors. To that, I would say, the bail out of the Automotive CEO's, Cash for clunkers, FHA first time homebuyer credits are HIS policies and due to that, there is no discernible difference between the two men in that regard. Above that though, during the 2 year campaign trial, Obama not once hinted that he would have to continue on some policies, in fact, he told the voters, if you want another 4 years of Bush, vote for McCain, but if you want real change, vote for me. Are you then saying the voters were hoodwinked? I personally don't need an answer, because like many, I didn't expect anything out of Obama, or any other politician for that matter, because they are all illusionists!!

obamas the cleaverist liar ive seen. he was introduced to the world at a period when people were full of hostility toward usa global policy, people wanted change, they gave us bushes cousin and fellow bonesman john kerry and kerry gaves us obama at the dem. convention. thats when we should have started making connections. who was obamas mentor at harvard and columbia university Zbigniew Brzezinski the same mentor for other prominent negroes such as condelezza rice colen powel he mentored them and manufactured their political ideologies. so obama is just playing his part just like bush him and bush are both in the same boat. i like bush personally he told he didnt give a fuck barack will lie you to death and still do the same as the rest except he has dems minds set on faith and hope and not truth and fact if all of americans wanted change the should have looked at the green party represented by Cynthia Mckinney whos candidacy was a protest and struggle for change. but most took hope and change instead so now youll taste the blow back while barry obama blows newport smoke in your face and tells you im not just your president im americas president.

Danny Glover needs to S-2, sit the hell down and shut the hell up! Let me ask this of most black people living in this country, what did you think would happen? That the President would elevate the concerns of a minority over a majority and other minorities? You gotta be kidding! All of you should voted for Hillary Clinton then cuz it's easier to blame a white person for nothing getting done in Black America than another black man. The problem is a lot of people who're complaining don't see the long reaching effects of The Obama plan. A president's legacy isn't seen until years after they leave office and that's after 2 terms. You really gotta screw up not to be elected to 2 terms. There's nothing wrong with Mr. Obama being a mediocre president but that's unacceptable to some people cuz they project themselves into his image. At least give the man a chance...

Now I hope someone correct me if I am wrong on this, but I seem to remember from taking a political science class on Presidential administration (notice the little a instead of the Big A). When I was taking the class, I remember the instructor distinctively stating that one has to remember that when I President is elected to the Office for the First time, he must follow through with the policies and procedures from the previous administration if that administration before the new President won a second term, he has to carry out the policies and procedures from the latter.

Now what is that saying, it is simple, G.W. won a second term and OBAMA has to carry out those policies and procedures (case in point-the stimulus packages, they are from the Bush administration; remember all of the bailouts going around, that was not from the OBAMA administration), several other things. When Clinton was first elected, he had to carry out some of the policies of Bush Senior (that is why they are such good friends, Clinton did not do away with those policies by replacing them with his), yet when he was reelected he did institute policies, procedures and regulations which did in fact balance the National Debt and there was documented proof of a surplus, and as soon as G.W. got in there he began to spend the money like a DAM FOOL that he is and yet no said anything until the WAR on TERROR start going South, and when that happen he was leaving the Oval Office anyway.

Now somebody please correct me if I am incorrect, but the things that OBAMA is doing is clearing out the policies and procedures that were left over by the Bush administration (case in point-the troops being sent-this was slated from the Bush administration, OBAMA had no policy whatsoever about troop strength let alone movement through the middle east and he still does not).

For all of the people which Voted, they still do not comprehend that this is how policy administration works within the HALLS OF GOVERNMENT. This will not change non whatsoever.
Unless OBAMA is reelected into the Oval Office again, his term will end here and nothing will have been established but the Health CARE Bill, which really was not his, this started back during the Clinton Administration.

IN short nothing that this man does will ever make him look good whatsoever.

This excuse that President Obama has only been in office only 6 mos - now 1 year will naturally soon play out. Of the eligible white voters,63.6% voted and 43% of them voted for Obama. Of the total elible black voters,65% voted and 95% voted for Obana. You had 49.9% of eligible Hispanics turn out with 67% voting for Obama. Asian 47% of eligible voters turn out and 62% voted for Obama. Other than 6 states, Fl,Nc,In,Oh,Md,Va (96 electorals) where if you removed the black vote count would then candiate Obama tied with candiate McCain with 269 to 269 electoral votes each. He lost the 5 southern states even Mississippi where blacks are 37% of the population. He won North Carolina by 13,700 votes. The poverty rate for blacks in those six states is Fl 32%,Nc 34.5%,In 38.9%,Oh 39.8%,Md23%, and Va 24.2%. If after President Obama only being in office 4 years and these numbers don't change for this particular group. Then they should rightfully ask the question "for what gain is there" to be seen for thier abnormally high participation? Just to see a black face?

Speak the truth Phlyght!!! There's an excellent book that I'm sure some of you have already read entitled "Two Nations: Black, White, Separate, Hostile, Unequal" by Andrew Hacker. One of his concepts is that by the time a black man reaches the upper echelons of power in this country, anything which can be defined as blackness has been surgically removed. This is what Obama is dealing with. I'd love to be a fly on the wall to hear what has been said to him when the cameras are off. After that mutt called him a liar, I can imagine what this man is subjected to. And don't think for a moment that they wouldn't whack him, Michelle and the babies if he puts up too much of a fight. So he's got to use whatever is left of his scrotum, pray that some assassin doesn't breach security and move steadily but cautiously towards as many things that he can to help benefit as many people as he can. This will include us as well. We've got to understand that we were not brought here to become captains of industry. We were brought here to work, breed and die. Anything else is gravy. We must do all that we can to change the balance of power. Get that education! Stop equating excellence with white and failure with "keepin it real" Stop havin babies without a comprehensive mission statement...Work! Damnit work!!! Stop allowing people from other countries to out work you because you think its "kissin behind" or "I don't feel like bein here today"..Buy and sell from each other! I'll say it again..."Buy and sell from each other!!! Integration simply gives you freedom to move freely about the cabin. It is not and has never equalled assimilation. And if youre a black merchant, businessman etc. make it your business to DESERVE the support of your people. Instead of readin so much urban fiction, every and I do mean every black man and woman should read "The Miseducation of the Negro" by Carter G. Woodson.

Do not have any children until you've read and can intelligently discuss this book, because believe it or not if you can't, then you don't have all that you need to be an effective parent for black children. This book was written in the 1930's and sad to say we have the same problems today even with a black president.

As much as I admire Danny Glover as an activist and as a man, I think he's being unrealistic. Its easy to talk when you're not in the crosshairs.
