I was born and raised in Miami so to those that feel the city is some “violent torn” city it isn’t. Just like anywhere you have your areas that you should steer clear of and unfortunatley this beautiful young lady didn’t know that. May God bless her soul.

i agree with the last comment im born in raised and miami just down the street from where the shooting took place when i was 12 i was victim of a shooting but i dont think my home is torn or a lost cause just as the comment before everywhere have their places that you should steer clear of. im not saying that you shouldnt go to parties or what have you but you should also know whom and where your going but my prayers are with her and her family knowin thats she’s a friend of my sister’s and for those who dont know she wasnt the only person killed or hurt at the party so prayers also goes out to the family of the 17 yr. old football player who lost his life at the party as well and to the other 11 people who were hurt there as well

I am sadden by the news and I pray for her soul and for GOD to give strength to her family and also the other people that were injured or died from this senseless act. It is a truly a shame but now days we really have to decide if whether or not stepping outdoors is worth it, even if it is going to a party. It is sad that all of these acts of violence are occuring and my heart and prayers go out to all of those that have been affected by these kinds of acts. Just plain sad, however we as a people need to take a stand against the senseless acts that are taking away our people. I don’t understand but truly the question is when it going to be enough dead bodies. When are we going to wake up and take a stand against these hoodlums, thugs, and low lifes. Our future is dying along with them.

Eh, Overtown…Liberty City..no big difference. Both are very violent, drug infested areas of Miami/Dade County. STAY AWAAAAY if you don’t know…NOW you know!

I was born and raised in Miami too, the Miami that they dont show on MTV but the one that they show on “The First 48″. If you got something to lose then you should stick to partying on Miami beach instead of overtown, but I pray for her soul. I really wish that if Goons got to get it how they live, yhat they shoot in the air instead of in the crowds.

Miami is a Dangerous town? Like what someone stated, it all depends what part you live in. Im from miami, but I live down south of miami. Things happen down this way as well. Not too long ago there was a shooting a couple blocks away from me execution style. Mind you, I dont live in a bad area, its really funny how much of a difference a block makes over here. But just from this incident you cant judge all of miami like that. Yea its violent here, but its nothing like Compton. But let this Rattler rest in peace :)
