From the Boston Herald:

The father of departed pop superstar Michael Jackson was dubbed “Clueless” Joe Jackson yesterday after he gave an interview to NBC’s “Today” show denying that he knew his son took drugs.

Speaking for the first time since authorities ruled the King of Pop’s June 25 death a homicide, Jackson, 80, said, “I’m not angry, I’m mad. Because I didn’t know all this was going on.”

And now, he says, his family “wants justice to be done.”

“I keep thinking, I just can’t believe this happened to him,” Joe told “Today” in an interview taped on Saturday – what would have been Michael’s 51st birthday – and aired yesterday.

“I’m fine, I’m just still grieving over my son’s loss, because he was the greatest all over the world. And I’m proud of that.”

As for the possibility of criminal charges being filed against Jackson’s physician, Las Vegas cardiologist Dr. Conrad Murray, the Jackson family patriarch suggested there may be more to the story than just him.

“It tells me there was foul play done and more to be investigated to see what really is behind all this stuff, not just Dr. Conrad Murray,” he said.
