From MSNBC:

Most American teenagers are not as active as they should be but a lack of exercise does not seem to be to blame for the rising rates of teen obesity, according to a U.S. study.

Researchers, using government survey data from 1991 and 2007, found the amount of physical activity among U.S. teens has not in fact changed significantly over the past two decades while the population, including children, has got heavier.

Researcher Youfa Wang, of Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, said it came as a surprise to find that a lack of exercise was not to blame for the rise in obesity with nearly one-third of U.S. children and teens now overweight or obese.

“Although only one third of U.S. adolescents met the recommended levels of physical activity, there is no clear evidence they had become less active over the past decade while the prevalence of obesity continued to rise,” said Wang.

He said there was no evidence that teens’ exercise levels had changed appreciably at any time during the study period — even though those years saw an increase in teen obesity.

For the study published in the journal Obesity Reviews, Wang and colleagues used data from an annual government survey that tracks the health and lifestyle of U.S. high school students.

True. Black Americans and Canadians alike eat a surprising amount of junk. They are not as strong and fit as my generation was. Its become “culture” to eat crap all day amongst Black people. We need Elija Mohammed’s “How to Eat to Live”. I am 35 years old and I get a kick on how I can outlast these young cats in endurance on the basketball court. Really f*cked up

Most young people today go from processed baby formula (not mother’s milk, to processed baby food to processed meals and fast food. Most young people today can count on one hand the number of meals they’ve eaten that were made from scratch with natural ingredients

and NOT something that was poured out of a box or can. Breakfast today is a sweet roll, sugared drink, a processed piece of crap from the freezer, a sugary processed cereal, or a McDonald’s processed egg McMuffin piece of crap.

The average American (including poor ones) snack endlessly on processed food like Cheetos, candy, greasy chips, and sweets in between two or three processed meals.

Don’t forget the gallons of pop instead of 4-8 glasses of water. If the average kid ever eats a green vegetable, it’s swimming in greasy water.

In addition, too many parents rely on fast food restaurants for meals, which are high in fat and calories. I once saw a teenage mother feeding her 3 year old son some White Castles hamburgers and pop. When the toddler started choking, she gave him so more pop, like “what the hell should i do?”

I was like, damn, I want to snatch that baby and run the hell out of there! If I said he’s choking because you’re feeding him garbage, he needs real food, the fight would have been on…lol

I knew she didn’t have a CLUE that you must give a toddler the best food possible because a baby’s body AND brain requires the healthiest food possible to develop right. But that would have meant going home, after buying some fresh food, and pulling out a knife and pot and COOKING IT.
Bet money that little boy will have serious heart disease by the time he hits his teens or twenties…

Now add all the above to (1) the food additives deliberately added to fast food that make you feel hungry, so you overeat AND (2) the hormones that are present in chicken and cows because greedy meat producers that get into the food supply, and (3) the extra dose of hormones that I believe are SECRETLY ADDED to food in the black community, and you have the perfect recipe for LIFETIME OBESITY.
