Laura Bush Joins Smithsonian’s Black History Board

Former first lady Laura Bush has a new title to add to her resume.  She’s the newest member of the advisory board for the National Museum of African American History and Culture.

The board is working to raise money for the yet-to-be-built museum.

Congress has pledged to provide half of the museum’s $500 million cost, if private fundraising covers the rest. Various other celebrities have been helping to raise private funds for the museum, including Oprah Winfrey and Quincy Jones. The museum is scheduled to open in 2015 on the National Mall near the Washington Monument.

    The Smithsonian and Laura need to stop playing. What could she have to contribute to black history month. Oh maybe she wants to post the body count of all the black people that died during Katrina. This is a joke for her to even be mentioned much less a part of the advisory board. Smithsonian are there no qualified Black people to help you with Black History month. This is just so insulting to me and a mockery of what it is African Americans have to celebrate and we sure dont celebrate the likes of Laura Bush or her husband.

    This is a shame. They desperately want to keep the curtains closed on their deceitfulness over the past centuries. By the time all of it is done white man again will tell their version of the Great Maafa, the induction of the United States, the Civil War and everything in between. Unless the few who take heed to Obamas words would undisputedly bring this profound biasness to an end and reveal the truth. Note though that everything must be destroyed and made plain before it can be rebuilt.
