Lets see I think i’ll start my comment by stating this… first of all, to compare New Orleans with North Korea is stupid. We cant even go to N.K. so whoever did this research is a liar. Secondly N.O. is always in the top tier of murders in world so, that really isn’t anything new to anyone who is a global climatic observer. And lastly how does Africa always seem to get overlooked as far as life span is concerned, hmmmm? Yet every night after the sitcoms and all the other highlighted shows are off air, those feed the children “NON PROFIT” organizations come on and not only that they are “PAID PROGRAMS” who spending this money? And they still aint eating nothing but rice and water. I could go on but, im like 2good I wanna see what everybody else got to say about this one

the research should convey the entire country’s mortality rate which is similar to the aforementioned. The number one killer of black folks are violence (BLACK ON BLACK). The next one is diet, and this goes back to slavery and colonialism i.e. medical and scientific experiments,slave food that made the body susceptible to foreign illnesses, etc. etc. Then there’s stress, depressions, pressures etc. that help the body get weaker.Now lets look at the bigger picture to what happened and whats going on in New Orleans. It will give us a better understanding to why the mortality rate in that area for our brothers and sisters are so high i.e. financial burden that bring stress, chemical agents presents in the housing units that were made by FEMA, food scarcity, racial attacks, and the scarcity of black folks in the area after everybody were drove out by Katrina (more like eminent domain, since the levy was intentionality broken by the government.)

From information about tragic events like this come remedies, cures & prevention… TIME TO GET ON OUR JOBS AND RAISE THE LIFE EXPECTANCY OF ALL OF OUR PEOPLE GLOBALLY!

first of its not about being able 2 go 2 N.K….its about our poverty level, and being a New Orleans native, I agree somewhat…the funny thing is, I thought this was America, they want us 2 fight for them…when they gonna fight for us…not talking “The War”, but for schools, employment, community groups…stuff like that. I think its a bunch of bull@#&$, because they haven’t missed 1, Mardi Gras…not even a year later, with the rest of the city in the dumps…black on black violence is everywhere, so lets stop blaming everything on that…how bout somebody open up some abandon buildings, that the city own, to help some of these kids off the streets, help em’ learn a trade…it wont be easy, but u never know, how many young black men, don’t wanna be out there hustlin’…maybe that will help the “Life Span” rise…

And true that, some sections of the Big Easy , 4 years later, still look like Germany after WW2, but the French Quarter is back in business & Mardi Gras still rools. BUT, that’s what gets the $$$$ rollin’ into New Orleans.
Just my opinion, the biggest problem is knee-grows killing each other like somebody’s giving prize money for it.

Genocide works great if you take your time during the planning. The flood brought all the black people out of their homes, right into the line of fire,of the white racist gangs of men who shot them down like shooting fish in a barrel.the lady doctor and her helpers murdered the ones that made it to the hospital looking for medical help.blacks have always died in larger numbers in southern states.the republicans that are pouring gasoline on the racism of hate are using the lunatics and barely any healthcare for blacks as forms of genocide and it’s working,along with using the police [nazi storm troopers] to kill and mame men,women and children.the blacks in southern states are all going to end up dead or mamed,with blessing of the republican leaders in congress.all we can do is await our turn,because it’s coming to all blacks,eventually the race that was so good at getting rid of the native americans have made genocide a art.!!!

I think u missed my point… What I was saying is dont tell me jack about North Korea, when infact N.O. done got flooded and destroyed and there was not anyone from a Governing position who took immediate action. Then put up a blog like this and compare it to a place that 10,000 miles from N.O. not to mention a place we cant even go. Thats what im sayin
