Marion Barry Accused of Stalking Woman

Washington, D.C. Council Member and former Mayor Marion Barry was arrested Saturday evening by police and charged with stalking a woman, police said.

U.S. Park Police said Barry was arrested after a woman flagged down an officer and complained Barry was stalking her. Barry was arrested, charged with misdemeanor stalking and then released.

A message left seeking comment from a spokeswoman for Barry wasn’t immediately returned early Sunday.

Barry served four terms as mayor. In his third, he was videotaped in 1990 in a hotel room smoking crack cocaine in an FBI sting. He served six months in prison and in 1994 regained the mayor’s office. In recent years, he has been under fire for failing to pay his income taxes on time, blaming it on kidney failure and a dialysis regimen. Earlier this year, Barry received a kidney transplant.

    What about his crazy ex-wife. He seems to be stuck on or in the land of the lost. what good was he ever to the people of D.C.. Oh well Detroit had it’s own fool too, which he too made a bigger fool out the people.

    I think it’s more to this story. People loved Mayor Barry when in was in office he did a lot for some areas. And they had the best festivals on the waterfront then. And for the record the b***h set him up!

    He should not be embarrassed for yet to pay his income taxes, since He has been loyal to that when He was financially ok without requirement of surgical operation for kidney transplantation. Just as I red on this web.

    Maybe he and frankie (Kesha Mom) should get together and provide each other with rehab support. They don’t seem to be doing anyoneelse ay good, Oh yeah except for Kesha whose getting paid off of people watching her mother act a damn fool
