Michael Steele Considers Upcoming Elections A Vote On His Leadership

As they campaigned together across Virginia on Thursday and Friday, Republican National Committee Chairman Michael S. Steele praised Robert F. McDonnell, the state’s GOP gubernatorial candidate, as an innovative leader.
McDonnell was just as enthusiastic.

“Thank you to my largest donor, Michael Steele,” he told a crowd outside a train depot in Culpeper on Friday, referring to the millions that the RNC has poured into the contest. And seeming to realize the potential double meaning of his words as Steele’s 6-foot-4 frame towered over everyone, McDonnell joked, “And also my tallest.”
Steele smiled at the rhetorical embrace by McDonnell, who polls show is leading in Tuesday’s contest against Democrat R. Creigh Deeds — a reality that could mean as much to Steele as if he were the candidate himself.

Once heavily embattled because of a series of gaffes that infuriated his fellow Republicans, Steele is already taking steps to cast strong showings in Tuesday’s races in New Jersey, Virginia and New York as signs of both a Republican comeback and his own successful leadership.

I think its strange how the only conservatives and republicans we hear about are the loud dumb and wrong ones. Steele is no exception. I’m a Liberal, and I’m sure there are some intelligent republicans out there, but I have yet to meet one or hold a real conversation with one. I think its often the loudest person who’s heard, not always the smartest one. That’s the problem with politics today. Its all opinion and emotion with very little logic and consideration for others involved.
White man in blackface michael steele actually believes that he is a republican leader.he has tried to use language, pretending that he is black.talking in some screwed up slang he has been as racist against blacks as any other racist white man.trying to prove his loyalty by saying as many degrading things about pres.obama as he can come up with.he’a no more than a bad joke.
WHAT LEADERSHIP? THIS IDIOT DOESNT REALIZE HE IS BEING USED BY THE REPUBLICAN PARTY. HE’S JUST A FIGURE HEAD/MOUTHPIECE WITH NO REAL POWERS, HE’S NOT ALLOW TO MAKE ANY DECISIONS ON REPUBLICAN PLATFORMS, HE DOESNT CONTROL THE BUDGET, AND HE WAS MADE TO APOLOGIZE TO THE REAL LEADER OF THE REPUBLICAN PARTY RUSH LIMBAUGH.
@rhodes267. Sell out is actually an accurate term for you conservative negroes, because, you try to act as if racism doesn’t exist anywhere, and is somehow a figment of the imagination. In the realm of politics, I personally find myself aligning with more conservative values than liberal ones. However, for you to say that there is more of a racial divide now, than there ever was, and try to somehow attribute that to Obama, is not only ridiculous, but justifies in my mind, the label of “sell out” and “uncle tom.” If you so called conservative blacks would be more honest about the racial component that plagues this society, you wouldn’t be so disconnected to the black community as you find yourself today.
“Sell-out” and “Uncle Tom” are the only words you racists can say about conservatives blacks like myself who refuse to be on the plantation. I thought the Messiah you all voted for suppose to unite whites and blacks, but there is more of a racial divide that there every was. All of the time you all have been voting for “white democratics” what have they done for our black communities?
This is one of the biggest SELL-OUT in the Black Community, and with all the other negro’s against the President, who hold up signs with racist whites. They will vote him out, and replace him w/one of their own.
I would 100% vote for Keyes if he ran again (but it won’t happen), however, Steele needs to show that he has a stronger stance against abortion — thats the deal breaker with me.
none of these blk guys are around too long in GOP. i see j.c. watts’ coulmn in a newspaper sometimes and a few years ago saw him on some type of infomercial.
i don’t care if blk have right of center views but to show up to their rallies, support’em on the campaign trail, support’emon news channels and radio stations…i don’t get it. since the recent elections til now, it’s obvious what their true feelings are toward blks.
I’d luv to see them give the guy a shot since they let Alan Keyes and JC Watts rot in hell. But I would’nt hold my breath and I fully expect to see all white guys running in the next republican presediental primary.
This clown just know, he finna get ousted shortly after they dont need him anymore… insert token nigga in the GOP toilet *flush* and *swooooosh*
