NAACP Calls Pittsburgh Schools “Apartheid Education”

From WTA, Pittsburgh
PITTSBURGH — The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People is claiming inequality in education between black and white students in Pittsburgh Public Schools.
The NAACP marched in Pittsburgh’s Oakland neighborhood before Monday night’s School Board meeting.
The NAACP calls the current education situation “apartheid education,” pointing to recent recommendations to close some city schools.
“We don’t even have a plan. Some consultants came forward with some recommendations based on the values of buildings, but there (are) no school closings planned. We are months away from bringing a plan forward, no less the board making decisions,” Superintendent Mark Roosevelt said.

I agree. The true fight for equality isnt in trying to beat the other races in things like education. We need to improve America as Americans, not as African Americans or Anglo Americans.
As a white man who went through the public schools system I think it is all schools that are bad, why can’t there be a group who fights for all races and help deal with our schools, it is not just a black thing it is all race thing.
the NAACP needs to stick with college sports… sheesh.
