Sorry to inform, but it was inner city blacks who pushed for the harsher sentences because of what crack was doing to our neighborhoods.

This post made my eyes bulge. I have not sold crack before, but I know of folks that did. Seems pretty unfair to have cooked cocaine’s penalty higher than raw cocaine.

Makes absolute sense, still does NOT excuse the fact that it should not be hitting the streets anyway, but that is another story.
