By the way what has any of them done with helping a person that is homeless-childcare-paying for a person to be seen with money that has come out of their pockets and not given to some group that helps people like that. The only real thing wrong with this story is the headline. These are not llies. It’s refreshing to see most people actually respond to this article with common sense, rather than the usual “Obama can do no wrong” dribble you normally read. Most of you get it – this is NOT a Black and white issue. It’s the policies we question. Some of this requires a little more knowledge of the bill that’s being proposed.

Of course there is no verbiage in the current bill regarding “death panels”. There are however provisions for “end of life” counseling – which is the foundation for such a “death panel”.

Look – it’s not rocket science. Look at Social Security. You get to pay into the system your entire life, and to get a penny when you retire you have to plea your case in front of a judge to receive your benefits. Statistically we know that the elderly consume the majority of the health-care costs. When this program spirals out of control with excessive spending, where are they going to make the first cuts to control it? I don’t want to be 65-70 and have some govt bureaucrat decide if my hip replacement is going to be financially viable.

Look at the “cash for clunkers” fiasco. It was pitched as a $1 Billion dollar stimulus deal, and turned out to be $5 Billion. The only automakers that were “stimulated” were foreign automakers because US automakers (aside from Ford) didn’t have models that qualified for the incentive. Both GM and Chrysler reported record low sales (17-20% deficit) while only Ford shows a 15% increase in sales as a result of the plan.

What makes health care any different? The core of the problem of our current health care system isn’t being addressed in the newly proposed bill – and that is to control the cost. As long as hospitals can charge $25 for an aspirin and throw in some ambiguous lab fees that no one can decipher – it is going to be an orgy of corruption and greed. I agree that a reform is needed and some cost control needs to be put in place – but not a govt “option”.

The Healthcare reform that The President is promoting has nothing to do with a “death panel” They alreay have “end of life counseling”, now the government will pay for it under the same law as before. How could you even think that the USA would kill their own elderly? What policies that you people don’t like that The President is initiating? Medicare Adantage is what the Bush Administration broke while it was a good ideal It went un funded and caused bigger deficit from the medicare fund. He actually cut revenue into the Government with his Tax cuts. Thats how Bush broke the medicare system.

There were Blacks who were against freeing the slaves. We called them Uncle Toms. Whenever you got political party rivalry be aware, they’re all the same basically, its just one party with different factions. What one doesn’t do now, they’ll find another way to bring in.

You know what the problem is, I’ll tell you. The people of most countries spend their time fighting against each other, Why??? I’ll tell you because the government finds ways to make us pissed off with each other over something. (i.e. look at the face or customer service area of most governmetn departments, the bottom rung. Full of ethnic minorities, some are just grateful to have that job, and they’re used to push through / uphold policy) Some of us look and think, Wow, we’ve come so far…… NO we haven’t, they’ve found ways to get to us, make us think we’ve come so far. The reality is whos above them, whos making all those rules, whos financing the plots? those are the questions we should ask. Instead we fight with other people just like ourselves.

Remember people, we’re financing them, not the other way round. They are accountable to us, not the other way round.

I believe that the governmetn need sick people, they need criminals, they need people on support services, only so that they can keep paying the money to themselves.
