This is a very sad and unfortunate incident.For many Clevelander’s and North Eastern Ohioan’s,such as myself know that such a thing.Wouldn’t have happened in Westlake,Parma,Rocky River or Fairview Park these are prominent,predominantly White,West of Cleveland suburb’s.The area of the incident like most of the Eastside of Cleveland,is largely Black populated.If a foul odor had been reported in any of those above mentioned suburb’s.I’d guarantee you that they would’ve gotten a quick response and/or some type of explanation,as to what the smell might have been.I hate to say that race paid any part in the handling of this whole investigation…but it kinda’ look’s that way????

This is sick. The man who did these horrible things and the way the cleveland police handled the situations between the first complaint to the last. That is a good question: What did the police do for the last few years when within the premise of that neighborhood? officers do know what a dead body smells like. If you get more than one call of residents in the same neighborhood on the same street, umm you can do something about it. That’s a good time(probable cause) to be having search warrants for the ENTIRE street where the complaints were coming from. When the time you do need police to search some s**t, they’re no where to be found. But yet, they will quickly search when they just feel like it.

This was a failure on all: the neighbors, the police and the councilman who was called. Everybody bears some responsibility. If I were in that neighborhood smelling that, I would have called the police everyday. They would know me on a FIRST NAME basis.

My question is how does that sausage plant smell? If it smelling like anything dying, I don’t want that sausage and want to know how they have been able to stay open.
