Funny how democrats and liberals will doll out public aid, but won’t even consider vouchers so black kids can go to better schools, but independents, and Republicans want to. No one talks about that huh Trisha_369. No one talks about how this universal healthcare will raise (substantially) taxes to an already overtaxed populace, and just wait until “Cap an Trade” hits your already thin wallets. Your energy cost will go through the roof when that monstrosity gets passed. I watched the entire clip and Dr. Sowell has a civil arguement, though the syllogism doesn’t follow suite. Here’s what I mean…

Instead of just taking welfare away, what about making the mothers or fathers who recieve it take a math class, Then a money management class & lastly to get additional benefits and investing class?

For foodstamps have them take a class on consumer spending, how to save money with “smart/bulk buys” and top that off with a creative shopping course!

Sound fair?

I know it sounds alot better than cutting people off and having survial instincts kick in with the same ZERO OPP environment. That’s a recipe for high crime rates of all sorts a/k/a chaos.

Nothin personal bruh, but I happen to know and have definitive proof that subliminal messages are consistantly sent throughout different neighborhoods at different frequencies. The upper class get a better frequency, lower classes and the poor get distorted frequencies that when deciphered are telling them they are worthless and to serve a person of value str8 up, period.

You & I know, not one black person in any majority black community designed ANY of the landscape (unless it’s personal property)

Most Black communities aren’t even owned in part by Blacks, Most of our people don’t even know what they are fighting against but they try their @SSES off EVERYDAY to fight what they can’t see.

Don’t take that away from our people, just don’t man. They need to be made aware of what they are fighting against and then you’ll see the EXTREME RESILIENCE that has allowed our ancestors to weather all storms shining thru us the decendants of TRUE GREATNESS.

Help, if you refuse to help atleast don’t hinder.

once again i told you i dont agree with everything a republican politican does. i compared the tax brackets from 2006 to 2009 theyre not that different for the middle class. i havent heard of a majority of the lower middle class losing everything i know alot of people are struggling but not to many people have lost everything. and for katrina the responsibility for the city rested on ray nagin. there was less than 24 hours before the hurricane hit new orleans when he called for mandatory evacuation. why didnt he facilitate the evacuation he had the resources of a whole city at his disposal but he did nothing they knew those levees werent going to stand up to a big hurricane why didnt the city do anything. i mean the city has a budget every year i would think that PREVENT CATASTROPHIC FLOOD would be on the top of there list of things to do but it appears mayor nagin had better things to do with his time. and if he felt he needed federal assistance it had to be requested which he didnt. the responsibility of mantaining the levee rested on new orleans levee board and the us army corps of engineers. the new orleans district corps of engineers had taken a huge pay cut that year so there wasnt much they could do to upgrade the levees but now its the levee boards responsibility to steep up but they didnt. i admit that the federal government didnt steep up when they were needed fema sucks balls. but the question is why did the local government fail in such a way. and to the rest of the rant i dont like racism. politics is full of racist wish there was something i could do about it but you just got to choose who you vote in.
and how does the democratic party actually benefit black americans?

thank you for bringing descent conversation. ill admit i had never heard of it until you told me about this thank you. i dont think it was smart to allow allow of that power to go to financial institution so that much influence on the economy. no one institution should have that much say in the economy. i believe in free enterprise but with some regulations so that its a fair playing field for all and for protection of consumers. this act gave only a few financial institutions alot of influence on the economy. i never did say i liked bush i dont he was an idiot alot of republicans didnt like bush. once again i never said i liked republican politicians i just like republican ideologies. but you cant put all the blame of the financial crisis on banks alot of it was due to outsourcing which was a and effect of NAFTA. this was a brainchild of Bush Sr but was signed into law by Clinton. but like i said i dont agree with everything republican politicians do i just have like the ideology. thanks again for telling about the glb act.

from 1933-1999 there stood a wall in the form of law (The Glass-Steagall Act) that prevented Wall Street from controlling Banks or Insurance companies… Insurance companies couldn’t control or invest in either and Banks the like.

Bush’s admin obliterated those two walls into propagandic rubble (Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act)which allowed all of these industries to consolidate and Wall Street ran wild, pillaging the American tax dollar and way of life!

And ya’ll have the nerve to phuccin defend those actions as ideology and have even bigger nerve to blame Obama????

Not the Asians, or Latinos, or any other “minority” group. Just us. (LOL!) Above all, Black People (like any others) are individuals and were given this distinction by God…way before the Democratic and Republican Parties were created! “E-v-e-r-y-b-o-d-y” wants lower taxes; more efficient, practical government on all levels; economic, public and social policies that are nondiscriminatory and beneficial to “a-l-l” citizens…and not just the rich and well-connected. There are a lot of vulnerable people who fall for all of the emotional and unproductive crap that’s played on them by these career-minded politicos of all stripes, including Brother Mike! Pragmatic people like myself look at the root of political platforms and policy proposals. I look for things that match my top priorities for a functional life. It seems like blacks totally lost their roots and forgot about their history. We are a strong race that endured many obstacles over centuries. We are the orginal kings and queens of this earth but, for some reason we cannot seem to gather our strenghts to unite as one race. Instead, we adapt to unfamiliar customs and traditions that are clearly beyond who we are. We were at the forefront of the entire human race as the original humans that first walked this earth but, somehow we took a back seat even in today’s world. I have nothing against any organizations and what they do is their business, but I think it’s a shame for a blacks to join such institutes and call themselves Muslims or Republicans. It really seem like the black race have totally lost who they are as a people.

Slit_Icka makes his comments about neither party being concerned about the people, while he supports a 3rd party who cares not about the masses either. Libertarians believe in every man for himself and all those who get left behind, do so because of the bad choices they make. While that may be true to a certain extent, Libertarians such as Ron Paul and Peter Schiff, never ever address the fact that people make bad choices based on misinformation they are bombarded with daily. They also believe in a free market system with no regulations. Everything in this universe is subject to regulation, and without it, there would be chaos and mass confusion, but yet, these people believe that something man-made can function, cleanse and regulate itself, independently. @slit_lcka005 your 1st comment I agree with as well. I became a demo because my mom was a demo and so forth. It wasn’t until I got a higher education and learned that what they never thought in the class room is that the demos were the slave owners!!!! Now how crazy do we look, serving them our votes when they wanted to keep us under their thumb.

However, we never knew any difference and no repubs aren’t going to help us either. I often use Asians as an example, they rely on NOBODY they do it together for each other and damnit they taken over! We need to take some tips from them and the Jews Black people for their selves working quietly and systematically towards the united goal! To bad its so hard to get Black people all on the same page!

at trisha 369 i am right leaning and i just want to see why should we expect any political party or even the government in that matter to help black people. you make it seem like we are helpless animals who cant fend for ourselves. i believe over government is what got black people into the problems that we face now. black people dont need government government is what holds us back. but on another note black people have always had more success in the republican party than they have had in the democratic party. we have more leadership in the republican party and better of people in the republican party. you may say they are all token blacks uncle toms or hate there on race and you may say obama is a democrat but black leadership in the republican party are tend to be more qualified than blacks in the democrats making the ones in democrat more like tokens. looking forward to your reply.

Just so ya’ll know, traditionally Black people were republicans not democrats. During the civil war it was the south that was saturated in Democrats and those Dems were fighting for and advocating for slavery to continue. It was the north, Republicans,who wanted us free. Google YOUR history!

Honestly, Black people, we to easy. Put a darker skinned man in our face and we jumpin for his ass. Its me too, Im including me in that mix cause I fell for it too. But my eyes are open now. This man, Obama, done made it so that abortion MUST be included in the health bill, he’s legalizing the SS Marriage and or “SS Courtship.” This man is not “Black” this is a mixed man who was raised by his WHITE mother’s family! Him being in office has allowed so much because we’ve, Black people for the most part, have shut our eyes to his doings, stop paying attention to what he is doing and yet, how many more of us got jobs, pay raises, additional services, tax breaks, etc? Not a one, because this “man” could care less about Black people, he got a job to do and he goin get HIS agenda done! We need to be paying attention and stop hating on people who in the game a little deeper than the average citizen.
