The content of BET has improved since Viacom took over? Well, I learned something new today.

This is an erroneous statement. BET was in BANKRUPTCY when it was “sold”—preferrably rescued by Viacom. Robert Johnson sold the company for little over $1 billion. People are under the delusion that Johnsonw as some big success, but how about we do a little math lesson here. It has been reported that Black people as an aggregate has purchasing power of $300 BILLION per annum (year). Multiply that by 10 years at a flat rate—not exponentially, and you have $3 TRILLION, not BILLION. It has been reported that Black people unfortunately watch more television than any other demographic. Why I say unfortunate? Because that generally means that Black people are reading less, which falls in line with the old premise of wanting to keep information from Black people, put it in a book. Continuing on, Black children watch the most television of them all; and we can all guess what it is they are watching.

Now back to my point. Black people with a ten year aggregate of $3 trillion, and watching the most television EQUALS advertising dollars, REVENUE. And yet, Johnson was unable to tap into that. He sold BET for little more than $1 billion from out of $3 trillion. That is LESS than a TENTH OF ONE PERCENT. If Johnson was so successful, he would have and should have been able to tap into that $3 trillion, and instead of Viacom RESCUING HIM, he could have bought out Viacon instead. Yeah he is successful now with buying all these businesses, but how hard is that to do when you are gifted $1 billion?

With the filth that Johnson help introduce to our children, in many aspects, he is no better than the neighborhood drug dealer or drug kingpin, he just has a bit more polish, but his impact is much more far-reaching and thus damaging. Now before anybody jumps on me, about how people don’t have to watch BET, that is true. But you remember that people do not have to buy drugs, the next time you have a penchant to badmouht the drug dealer.

Hmmm… does the term BANKRUPTCY register with you? Do you have an understanding as to what BANKRUPTCY is? BET WAS BANKRUPT. Not facing BANKRUPTCY, but was bankrupt. Viacom RESUCED it from bankruptcy. And being that BET was bankrupt, it would only serve that Johnson would NOT have become a billionaire, at least not in that venue.
