From TheRoot.com:

The Defense Department has announced a plan to end discrimination against gay American service members. On the heels of President Barack Obama’s State of the Union pledge to repeal former President Bill Clinton’s policy of requiring gays to stay in the closet while on active duty, Defense Secretary Robert Gates and Admiral Mike Mullen, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and among Obama’s top military advisers, expressed their support for banning “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” this year.

“The question before us is not whether the military prepares to make this change, but how we best prepare for it,” said Gates, at a hearing before the Senate Armed Services Committee Tuesday. “We believe that we have a degree of latitude within the existing law to change our internal procedures in a manner that is more appropriate and fair to our men and women in uniform.”

Why should black people waste our time worrying about these home wreckers and disease spreaders. Hell no, we shouldn’t give a rat’s ass about these fags, and dikes.

  • http://www.blackplanet.com/can_i_massage_u_love/ can_i_massage_u_love

This is silly! As many gay black people are running around these days, black folk would look stupid trying to pretend like most of us don’t at least have one gay person in our family. People need to just get over this crap and worry about how our money and lives are being wasted in these wars in the first damn place! This is just another excuse to get our minds off of the wars themselves!

The only men that call other men fags have sexuallity issues with in themselves. If you are comfortable in your own skin gay don’t bother you.

  • http://www.blackplanet.com/producer6tray/ producer6tray

Here we again equating the black struggle to gay topics, this issue has no relation to the black struggle, and like black folks wearing blond hair,, this is a predominately white issue. And why we spend our time with issues that don’t have s**t to do with our struggle as people, while being distracted over issues like this defies gravity. When white quit calling us n****rs on tv, in Hollywood and and other outlets, then we will think about it. Suddenly now because they want minority rights over a sex issue, it is now time to claim that we are all equal. Homo s**t has nothing to do with being black..yet we are insulted over and over again with being compared to people with a socially adopted ..learned behavior. I along with others could care less about what your choice is sexually, but you need to stop trying to force YOUR issues on the the rest of us and comparing your sex struggle with that of blacks. 90 percent of the tyme people don’t know or care about gay sexuality, yet gays seem to make it point to try siren out their identity, and i agree people should interfere with your rights, but trying force the issue doesn’t help either..it only further alienates you from the rest of society.

@ producer6tray Your response is exactly what most white people said during the Civil Rights movements. Its not my problem” is a faulty thought process that separates one man from another. You didn’t choose to be black any more than another black man chooses to be gay or bi. But this issue with capable soldiers being discharged because of their sexual identity does put us all at risk. I’ve got cousins being called back in time and time again to fight and I would much rather they not be but our country denies capable citizens the right to fight in wars because they’re gay. So we’d rather keep using the same tired and warn out men and women then allow dedicated and alert new soldiers to fight because of who they sleep with. That does effect us all.

If the f****ts really, really want to equate their LEARNED perversion with the legitimate struggle of the Black, the first thing they have to do is undergo +300 years of institutionalized prejudice, harassment, & discrimination. Funny how the fags want society to immediately (NOW, RIGHT NOW!!!) accept their abhorrant behavior, yet they’re quick to equate their unnatural sickness with the legit struggle of a people who paid serious long-term dues. Obama is a clueless idiot anyway, the Joint Chiefs can do the political posturing they can, but the rank & file serviceman won’t accept the perversion of the f****t.

And for all those who like to quote King in defense of this sickness, I’m damn sure he wasn’t marching for fag rights in Selma, or penned “Letter From a Birmingham Jail” to further the cause of unnatural sex. Don’t get it twisted!

The military has approximately seven to ten percent gay soldiers in their ranks at any given time. The military has kicked out a lot of good soldiers because of one little problem, they were gay. The “Don’t Ask/Don’t Tell” policy is an archaic system that pushes good soldiers into the closet, and turns them into criminals if they ever displayed public affection for their partners. In addition, a soldier that witnesses another soldier engaged in homosexual activity has to report the incident to his or her chain of command, or possibly face criminal charges. By abolishing the “Don’t Ask/Don’t Tell” policy, it gives homosexuals legitimacy, and allows the seven to ten percent homosexual soldiers to step out of the closet, and to live without fear of a court martial for merely holding hands in public with their partners.

I doubt too many soldiers will have a problem with the homosexual soldiers, especially since the military will do a lot of sensitivity training on the subject. There will be sporadic incidents of violence, but those individuals that caused the problems will meet swift and harsh punishments. In fifteen to twenty years, homosexuals holding hands won’t even cause a head turn or an awkward eye.

Let think about the can of worms they are asking us to open. If a gay soldier is servnig openly and feel more like a woman than a man. Can he demand that his (her, now) dress uniform be a woman’s uniform? Can he dress as a woman when he (she) is off duty. Or a woman soldier that believe she is really a man “inside”. Can she dress like a man all the times…and of couase have a wife and kids. What if a guy person wants a sex change due to deep depression over being the “wrong” gender. Should the VA hospital be required preforming (sp?) sex changes? When will it end. Black people just wanted to be treated like people nothing special. Why should we support gay soldiers?

I feel as tho all the muthaf**kers on hear who talking fag this and that need a reality check, because if they ain’t bothering your ass then leave it be. I can relate it a lot to the black stuggle because discrimination of any kind, is wrong. My God doen’t discriminate against nobody. You say you don’t like gay people ha! It’s funny a gay persone may end up being the very person to help you get a head in this life. They could be the manager on ya job, ya boss, hell ya brother, sister, cousin, best dame friend. Hell I know you ain’t going to stop loving ya family are you, cause if ya do it seems to me as though you have some problems of ya own to work out.

And also fag means weak. Ain’t s**t weak about me cause of who I chose to sleep with. Some of the hardest niggas in the hood f**k niggas so what the f**k. I bang with the hardest of them. I fight and will see you in the hands any f**king day. yall be thinking these so called fags be weak and s**t, yall better stop underestimating people it will be your down fall.

Let things be. Half yall on here prob on the down low any dame way. Who the f**k knows what yall do behind close doors. At least some pple know that you can’t go throw life trying to please other pple. Some nigga said put on the front line. B***h bum the f**k up how about put your ass on the front line. Cause guess what it’s a hole lot of withe folks that would say the same dame thing, put that n****r on the front lines he ain’t s**t but another nigga. Niggas like you ain’t s**t, so quick to say something but doen’t think before you say it. thank you KEVERIX we are.

It’s not about will black american stand by gay soldiers if the DADT law is passed. It’s about the military in general standing beside openly gay soldiers…and they will ifthe law is passed..and if any soldier has a problem with it..will be the one expelled from the military.

Gay rights in this nation is a human right.. not a civil right in my opinion. I don’t believe today the Gay community should piggy back in the civil rights bill..to further their platform. The should do as any other sub-culture does.. find a leader and stand alone for their cause..and not piggy back on the civil rights bill of 1964.

However, Dr. MLK had empathy …and Mrs. King who appeared to be more vocale and sympathic towards the gay community.. in fact Dr. King’s march organizer was a gay social activist named Raynard Rustin.. he organized DR. King’s marches..including the march on Washington.. however.. it was only AFTER (3) years prior.. there was an accusation by ADAM CLAYTON POWELL..that Dr. King and Mr. Rustin were having an affair.. Dr. King still brought Mr. Rustin back into the civil movement.

You can HATE gays..and for me it’s not the life I adhere too.. but I have enough EDUCATION to know..it’s unlawful to discriminate against anyone and react on it negatively as an attack on gays verbally and/or physically.. in a nation that extends the RIGHT of FREEDOMS.. to law abiding-tax paying citizens is against the LAW. In fact heads up.. hating gays and attacking gays verbally and physically is a FEDERAL HATE CRIME now, enact into law by President Obama.. in fact now its a thin line if you disrespect and react negatively towards gay-co-workers.. based on their sexuality..you can be FIRED..and charge with a felony…and if you can’t get a good lawyer($$$) in your defense.. you are toast and it’s on your employment record for LIFE if you are found guilty of a hate crime against gays.

So it doesn’t matter what we think of gays(against or for)..who cares really?.. but this I do know for certain.. you have to respect the rights of gays in this nation.. if you don’t suffer the consequence.
