OK, so the officers shot & killed an unarmed man, over what initially began as a domestic violence complaint?? There are 2 officers, one suspect…and the only option was deadly force?? Pepper spray or using their baton went out the window, huh? Why? Also, holstering their weapon, and just restraining this guy wasn’t an option…even though they’re both required to be trained to disarm & restrain suspects?? I live in TX, where there are plenty of cops that have had “issues” with the minority community…and I don’t think I’ve ever seen an instance of one of ‘em shooting an unarmed man.

The police state is right around the corner people. They’re getting out of hand.

THEY DIDN’T MAKE SURE THAT THE CHILDREN OF THE DAYCARE WERE SAFE BEFORE DISCHARGING THEIR WEAPON, WHICH ONE OF THE BULLETS COULD HAVE STRUCK A CHILD, THEY LIED AND SAID MARK WRESTLED FOR THE GUN.(NOT TRUE) MARK SURRENDERED WITH HIS HAND UP AND HEAD DOWN AND WAS SHOT IN THE NECK AND WHEN HE TRIED TO GET UP, HE FELL AND THEY PUMP 3 MORE INTO HIS BACK IN FROM OF WITNESSES WHO WERE INTERROGATED FOR 7 HOURS INSTEAD OF THEM GIVING THEIR STATEMENT (ONE OF WHICH JUST HAPPEN TO BE A MINOR AND THE PARENTS WEREN’T ALLOWED TO BE WITH THEIR CHILD WHO JUST HAPPEN TO BE THE PASTOR’S DAUGHTER. Thank you Allah! I’m glad that this story is finally getting to the National front. Mark was killed in front of black and hispanic children. The mother and daughter that worked in the church daycare was questioned and threaten and police officers are trying to intimidate them by circling their home so they would stop talking. I’m not a big fan of Jesse Jackson,but he did show up and has been in Rockford off and on for the last two weeks. These devils started a support group on facebook in support of these killers and if you join police office in Rockford are taking down names to intimidate those that speak against these devils. I know many in the Barmore Family, and it not cool how their labeling Mark as a criminal when his run ins with the law was only traffic valuations. The police claims he had a knife and charged at them but if you’re charging at someone now the hell do you get shot in your back when the two officers at in front of you??? Makes no sense!! That mess don’t make any sense. They use too much excessive force. It was unnecessary to shoot that many times. If they wanted to stop him from “trying to take an officer’s gun” as they put it then one shot to the leg probably would have stopped him. Killing him was not the answer and in front of kids at that it’s ridiculous. I have 2 boys who are growing up to be young men in this predominately white world and I definitely do not want my kids to be caught up in the racist war the police have going on.

There is no excuse for the man who comitted the crime! What warranted the police such aggressive measures for him to be shot in the back, in a church and in front of small children! Once again the police have abused the authority given to protect and serve. What if thier children were in that church??? Would those police officers want their children to witness such abuses of power?

Most of the comments i read focus on the events of that tragic day…but I don’t think anyone said anything about what NAACP president and CEO Benjamin Todd Jealous said. “There are no national standards for the use of force (or) training for use of force.”…There’s the problem rite there…the ppl who are supposed to protect and serve aren’t being taught what to do in these situations…and if they are, they ain’t being taught rite…they just do what they feel…if I had batman’s utility belt I’d do whatever I wanted too…when u have pepper spray, a taser, handcuffs, a nightstick/baton, plastic ties, thumb-cuffs, etc…do u really need a gun? When a bill was proposed to place nation-wide standards on excessive force, Pasco said, “the majority of the public has faith in police and that the proposed law would be ‘oppressive to police officers’.” Really?
