Police Taser Deaf And Disabled Man

Police in Mobile, Alabama used pepper spray and a Taser on a deaf, mentally disabled man who they said wouldn’t leave a store’s bathroom.

The family of 37-year-old Antonio Love has filed a formal complaint over the incident on Friday.

Police tell the Press-Register of Mobile that officers shot pepper spray under the bathroom door after knocking several times. After forcing the door open, they used the stun gun on Love.

Police spokesman Christopher Levy says police didn’t realize Love had a hearing impairment until after he was out of the bathroom. The officers’ conduct is under investigation.

The newspaper says the officers attempted to book Love on charges including disorderly conduct, but a magistrate on duty wouldn’t accept the charges.

    Ok how long was this guy in there that someone reported it,,,and if someone reported it,,,im sure they said hes in a wheelchair,,,well anywho,,,they should start reporting who the cops arent tasering,,,might make s**t easier,,LOL,,,im scared to cough,,,lol,,,,or blink round a cop for that matter

    The courts ALWAYS ALWAYS let the cops off!! The police have to much power!!Just look at the Prof Gates case..arrested for breaking into your own home and how the police lie on reports. Bad things can and will happen to good people if the good people are black and the police are white.Who’s next to get their ass beat?

    its not right for this deaf who cant hear at all that they have to understand and respect this person who are deaf.. it is very careful.. The cops or polices should know this better if they are checking on this person were deaf or not.. it is very important to know it if they dnt then they have huge problem for that.. this deaf man that its not his fault..

    I love that the pics show that police brutality happens to all races and not just Black, White, what have you. If the media would stop only showing Black people being beat up by the popo, though it happens more than it happens to anybody else, it would allow EVERYBODY to start taking the matter more seriously!
