S.C. Republican: Poor Are Like “Stray Animals” Who “Breed” When Fed

A South Carolina politician is making very a public apology – and this time it’s not Governor Mark Sanford.

After likening welfare recepients to stray animals, Andre Bauer, the embattled Republican’s lieutenant governor, is hastily back-pedalling from remarks his rivals have called “immoral.”

“My grandmother was not a highly educated woman, but she told me as a small child to quit feeding stray animals,” he said during a Town Hall meeting on Thursday.

“You know why? Because they breed! You’re facilitating the problem if you give an animal or a person ample food supply. They will reproduce, especially ones that don’t think too much further than that.”

    Hmmm, So I guess we should think only wealthy should be allowed to ‘breed’…Yes, lets give thanx to THIS guys folks for having his dumb azz, Lets not forgot old man Bush and Barbara for breeding that alcoholic son of theirs…With that said, maybe the wealthy shouldnt be allowed so much damn food…

    Thats how he feel about the whole state. I’m 30min from the state of S.C and the only good places is Columbia and the coastal cities. The rest of the state is in shambles.

    This dude may not look right and may not have said it right but hes definitely telling the truth. And definitely wouldnt apology for speaking the truth. Maybe only for the way that I said it. Truth be told most of our dilemma si that we cant stand to be criticized, let alone convicted. Hes telling the truth and we as “the poor” hed like to say, need to face it.
