From MSNBC:
TACOMA, Wash. – Thousands of people are taking part in a memorial service Tuesday to pay their respects to four officers who were shot to death last month as they sat in a coffee shop in a Tacoma suburb about 35 miles south of Seattle.
Among the 20,000 officers and civilians expected to turn out for the event at the Tacoma Dome was FBI Director Robert Mueller, as well as law enforcement officers from around the country, including officers from Minneapolis, Oakland, Bozeman, Mont., Langley, B.C., and municipalities across Washington state.
The caskets of Sgt. Mark Renninger, 39, and Officers Ronald Owens, 37, Tina Griswold, 40, and Greg Richards, 42, were to be taken from McChord Air Force Base to the Tacoma Dome in a procession of red-and-blue police lights that was expected to stretch for up to 10 miles in the largest memorial in state history.
