Technically there is no such thing as hip hop political leaders because there is no such thing as a hip hop party. These are just people with opinions. Also I have nothing against hip hop pioneers and legends like KRS-One, Chuck D and others, but it’s the entertainers of today that the young people are mostly listening to and the is the generation that will most likely re-elect Obama and our future presidents.

Why are we black people so much against each other? why cant we just show some support to our fellow colored people? Blessed one. Well said brother! It’s time to stop blaming others for the downfalls in society. The violence, the lack of education, the lack of morals in our youth can almost fully be blamed on one single thing: lack of good parenting. With a good foundation of morals and values, kids who stray, at least will know right from wrong and they might not stray too far off a good path. It’s up to the community itself to rise up and demand accountability from their own citizens for continuing the downfall of an entire nation. Noone is keeping anyone down these days, we all have the same access to schools & higher education. Believing that “outside forces” are keeping people down only encourages the sense of entitlement and decreases the personal responsibility and common sense we all should have and teach our kids.
