This isn’t as big as everyone’s makig it out to be. Prepare to be disappointed…

What do the Dept of Education, Social Security, FDA, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, Medicare,The Post office, The Military, FHA, Cash for Clunkers, Loan remodification program, FEMA, Securities Exchange Commission, Small Business Administration all have in common? They are ALL FAILING/FAILED Government run programs or agencies, and there are many many more, but somehow we are to believe, that the Government will get this one right????? Laughable. Like the man said below me, be prepared for a MAJOR disappointment.

Actually I’m willing to take a wait and see attitude. I give the man (President Obama) credit. He and congress did in a little over a year, what couldn’t get done in over 4 decades. Also, he kept his campaign promise to reform healthcare and he has proved all of the “nay sayers” wrong. This is a great day in America. I will concede that this bill will not make a lot of people happy and I’m sure even some of the people who supported this bill may be a little disappointed. However, I would rather have healthcare reform than nothing at all. All my life I have learned to live with what ever the government throws at us regardless who’s running the show and this will be no different. My life will never be disappointing. I’m happy for President Obama, Congress and the American people. Job well done.

Being self-employed, when will I stop have to pay 650.00 a month and 1500.00 per person covered by the policy deductible to insure me and my 2 children? Will this health bill in anyway lessen that cost and maintain the quality of care provided by my family doctor? If not, lets get on with the jobs, crime is rising and folks are becoming increasingly desperate!!!

This health care reform is going to kill any economy recovery that we will gain. Its goin to making it harder for businesses to operate AND EMPLOY people. Mandating everyone to purchase a certain type of insurance from a private entity is purely unconstitutional. Having the federal govt., which by the way is broke, own 99% of the student loans except for one bank N. Dakota is mind boggling. Medicare/Medicaid and Social Security is broke, how do we expect this to work? Guarantee, everybody that is around 20-27, by the time they get to retirement there will be no money for them. Time for real change….VOTE THE DEMS OUT IN 2010……VOTE OBAMA OUT IN 2012!! Stand up America!

@Got-FLava1. Blacks are still in the same mental state as we were 50 years ago. We don’t conduct mathematical analysis of these types of acts. All we here is “everybody is going to be covered” and we start dancing in the damn streets. But these same people doing the dancing don’t take a second to realize, that while BHO is throwing free money to these crooks on Wall Street, he is going to lean heavily on those who can least afford it, to foot this bill. Social Security is the biggest Ponzi scheme known to man (please name one bigger if anyone refutes this) and its broke as you have stated. This entitlement will add an additional 1 Trillion to the Natl debt by 2025. But there are some who say, they could care less what it costs. I would probably feel that way too, if I weren’t the one who has to pay for it.

Man I was just talking with my buddy, in the lunch room, and this top manager came flying in PISSED THE HELL OFF, screaming at us, over the health care. LOL I asked that man to please calm down, and back away from my food, but he was RED and pissed. This right here, is the new OJ case. Seriously. I hate an Indian dude pissed off talking about he doesn’t want to pay for these poor people, yet his people are all the new people I see on welfare, when I go to the stores. lol People are making this a “bail out blacks and latinos” issue, when they need to become educated and see that this is huge for America. If it will do good, I don’t mind paying to help out.

To _A_, my fear black people latch onto this idea that there some free health w/benefits. Cramming more people into a system that is already busting by the seams only means people, especially the ones that do need medical care, will get mediocre to sub-par quality for everyone. Obama guaranteed you access, but no quality care. Oh and the taxes. From what Im hearing most of the taxes wont start to hit until after this years elections. By the way, wasnt the end of the Iraq war suppose to pay for this? And if this reform, was so great, why wait four years? Why let more people die between 2010 to 2014?

To odoggz, its fine if you want to help out poor people. But YOU should let YOU do it with your earned wealth. Not let your wealth funneled through govt. hands where you dont know who is on the receiving end. This is how fraud happens. Give govt power and they commit fraud and waste.

We need to stop worrying so much and just be happy. No, I didn’t mean to accept each and everything that is thrown our way by the government. However, there are some things that we can’t control like death and taxes. The one thing I do know is that the health care reform bill was passed and whether we like it or not, is here to stay. It is up to us the people of the United States of America to make this a great country or make changes from within. I’m still content and willing to wait and see how all this pans out. This will not affect my pockets too much in the end.

I think you missed the mark. Those are all good things that within the bill but the bottom line is that it is unconstitutional, Congress or the President has NO RIGHT to make people buy anything, and after 2014, if you don’t have insurance whether private or government based you will be fined or highly taxed $95 for a single person and $295 for a family. This is not right, everybody who is saying, finally like this is a big accomplishment, but this is just the start of your rights being taking away, I couldn’t make anybody on here buy something they didn’t want so why can they make me buy something
I don’t want?

I can tell you one thing, I will be the first one to go to jail because they will not make me pay for something I don’t want, it’s not about red or blue state, it’s about right and wrong and BHO knows this shyt is wrong but the puppet must listen to the master.

Just to clear up some of the misinformation out there.

1. There’s no criminal or civil penalty. I repeat,

THERE IS NO CRIMINAL OR CIVIL PENALTY.

If you refuse to pay the IRS is only authorized to take the amount out of your “refund” you may be owed. You can find this provision on page 336 of the bill:

2.You’re exempt if you can’t afford coverage, and will be picked up by Medicaid if you’re within 150% of the poverty line. Otherwise, you’re due a subsidy if you’re within 400% of the poverty line.

3. This “fine” will be called a tax when it goes to the Supreme Court, and the government will argue it is giving everyone that buys insurance a tax credit worth that amount. The Congress has broad authority to levy taxes on citizens as well as give tax credits based on consumer behavior.

Yeah! I’m happy about it. Even if the victory is 1/2azz, it’s still a step forward.

I believe Obama is doing his best to bring health care to those that don’t have it, but at what cost of freedom. The Elete who runs the world says it’s “Total Government Takeover”. I hope they are wrong.
