first of all its not just a black community its a community of all races..and i really think its crazy that they cant find out who is starting these fires and destroying the town but wat goes round comes round and i wish the best for this world everyday it just gets worse

People of all races reside in Coatesville. Its been going on for a while. I actually live in York County PA which is 40-50 miles from Coatesville. And Im sure even whites have been victims of these Arsons. And every other race in that town. And right now. Im glad I dont live in Coatesville because of these Arsons. Plus there are not alot of houses burnt in Coatesville. I ride past there on the Amtrak any time I make a day trip to Philadelphia and there are houses that are still up. One thing that was suggested for residents is to not leave trash cans outside of their houses since thats one place these fires get set. I sure hope they do catch whoever is doing this.

I think Coatesville needs to install surveillance cameras on ALL streets. Especially inside Coatesville to catch these Arsonists. Baltimore Citys crime got so bad they now have surveillance on the streets in downtown. And Coatesville Police need to do the same with its city streets.

For those who don’t know…Coatesville is the blackest town in PA other than Philly and Pittsburg. I jus moved from Lancaster, PA not long ago. Compared to the high percentage of Puerto Ricans that live in other cities in PA. But never the less where’s Richard a.k.a. “Rip” Hamilton at with his support of stopping this form of terrorism. He jus sitting by on his off season watching his home town burn in hell. I think that people like him, the big time Detroit Piston guard, need to get it together. I know damn wel lif it was my hometown going up in smoke like that I’d be on it like piss on toilet water.

I live right around the corner from where this happen.It was a horrible experience to see the fire started around 10pm and the firefighter didn’t cease the fire til after 6 or 7am…..now there are quiet a few family without homes cause of this racist nonsense………SIGNED A MAD BLACK WOMAN

I just think it is sad that people in this day in age would resort to something like this. I live in kentucky and I haven’t heard anything about this on the news. As a Black Firefighter from the Harrisburg, Pa. An area where they made you sign an employment contract (from 1987-1999) where I sued them for Racial Discrimination for lack of required training to have Federal Appeallate Judge Rendell the Governer’s wife rule against and seal court records to conceal their wrong doings and mismanangement of Federal funds in a city where Firefighters were burning buildings in condemed black neighborhoods to show black firefighters were not qualified. Moving Blacks out of their niegborhoods is not an unthinkable plan, It’s American economics at it’s best.

Real estate guys probably paid local thugs to burn them out so they can re-develop the property for rich folks. This ain’t nothing new. They’ve been pulling stunts like this for DECADES. Obama’s got a WORLD of corruption and racism to deal with. God help that man. God help us all. They need to investigate this further and get to the bottom of it. I bet you’ll find a greedy mofo there at the root, trying to make a dollar.

Generally, in predominantly Black neighborhoods, there are usually surveillance cameras all around the place that are manned 24 hours a day, but not in this case. No, sir. The whole town is burning down and yet, no one’s thought of installing surveillance cameras to see if they can catch the perps in action. I find that very interesting… hmm…

I agree. Coatesville should have surveillance installed on city streets. Baltimore has them already due to the high crime rate. And they even have them in alleyways. But if I can figure out how to email Coatesville police department I may send an email suggesting they place surveillance cameras on city streets.

I rode past Coatesville this morning on the Amtrak in route to Philadelphia. I spotted that section of row houses that is in the pic above and many of them were barracated as the result to fires. And in route back I saw houses that sustained fire damage. But I havent heard anything in the York news about arsons in Coatesville Recently. So I hope they caught the idiots who are doing this.
