@Newsone I can’t speak for everybody yet I can speak for myself as in what I would like to see on your site is MORE UPLIFTING topic on blacks. More reliable source when it come to your reports on the black race as in terms of reporting disease,heath care/obese,poor housing,education,jobs,wealth/worth,children,and crimes. Most of all tell the truth about the real reason things are happening to the black race. Stop painting a picture that the black race suffer more than the white race or any other race for that matter.(JMO)

Stories about what the Obama administration is actually doing to destroy this great land. And fewer stories of irrelevant celebrities.

Uncle Rukuses are every where. Please have more info about the good and bad of the Obama Administration. Just keep doing what your doing. That would be great is you can have a section city by city. Major cities would probably be easier. A sports section would be nice as well. Other than that, keep doing what you are doing.

Just more of what ways are the top 2% tryin to get over on us working class citizens.

Less coverage of fake celebrities, less re-posts from other noncredited sites, better fact checking before posting an article, better editing, less opinion and more of an journalistic approach to articles and lastly more hard political coverage our some highlights I enjoyed reading.

As for me I would like someone who is socially conscious to have a weekly blog that is interactive w/ the readers Someone that will promote good dialog from the readers, who I find bring more to the topic than the writer of most topics posted. A suggestion would be Zo Williams. Another suggestion might be to bring in someone from the financial world to discuss finances.

Also, more business and finance articles targeting minorities and minority business owners…

I believe that our biggest weakness as Black people; the one thing that’s keeping us at the bottom of society is a lack of scientific and mathematical interest and knowledge.

Please help us correct this problem. If Black people begin to add science and mathematics to our psyche along with religious and cultural wisdom we would cease to fill up the ghettos, prisons and graveyards.

The BEGINNING of wisdom is the fear of God. Yet, the best way to serve God is with a MATHEMATICAL approach. We’ve yet to learn this universal way of thinking.

Please post more articles on Mathematics and Science.

Anyways, I think the true experience from any media is not what the media says or does, but its how the people research, respond and react.

So as long as we hold newsnone and all media accountable I think we will be all right.

How about NewsOne actually report the news… I think Black people can support a real Black news station. If we can have a Fox news reporting all the nasty stuff they report, we can have NewsOne reporting what we are interested in

More stories about the benefits of marriage and education. We need more emphasis on sexual abstinence and condom usage. 70+ percent of black babies are born out of wedlock; that number must decline. Per capita, we have the most single headed households of any ethnic group. That must also decline.

I know you have to run the gossip columns because thats what sells. But we need more uplifting stories. Articles that will help us as a people.

Lastly I would see news1 be more objective on other blacks. According to this website Obama can do no wrong. We need to uplift each other but at the same time we need to call each other out when we screw up.

No more stories that divide us, such as “Are Black men/Black women asking too much?” and crap like that. I want to see stuff that unites us as a people.

Fewer celebrity drama stories. No one gives a damn about who Foxy Brown spread her legs for last night

More topics that are resolute, meaning, offer up some kind of resolve to certain issues, possibly drop links for people to check out on subjects of interest as well as those that BENEFIT the black mind, since this is a ‘black’ site…

If you do happen to write an article that points to race or something like that, drop a link to a book or some other avenue to EXPAND our minds, not just have us ‘battling’ back and forth.

ALSO, when there is a great story pertaining to ‘US’, please find some way to follow up on it…I would love to know more about those exclusive african american schools that I’ve heard about on here. Are they progressing well? Do the children benefit more from that?

Balanced and informed news articles even if it comes from a conservative source. We often complained about segregation in the past yet some of us wants to segregate ourselves from other members of the human society. Wake Up! Everyone leaves a foul smell when using the restroom. Even though NewsOne tauts itself as being a sought of consience or voice of black America it must not miscatagorize black conservative voices. You could either listen to those who wants you to cater more to the dumb down racial extremes such as the Final Call or you could move NewsOne onto the pinnacle of true and pure journalism. This is not a hard request at all. PEACE

As a whole, the model of a Black media outlet is a necessity. However, Newsone, like Black social and political apparatuses, need more comemporary voices and ideas. The bloggers and columnists here are the same recycled voices of a time passed. The Black community isn’t monolithic. The issues raised by the voices here are sometimes as demeaning as those they complain about. It’s not to call out anyone but for us as a collective to move beyond self-grasping confines of Blackism, we must project voices, ideas and ideals that represent our modern whole.

I’d like to see more reporting on the news with a less racist slant to everything.

Please…can we have more stories about blacks committing crimes, what Amber Rose and Kim Kardishian. Please give us more rumor and innuendo based stories with no real information supporting the the story. More stories on how great BHO is and less balanced stories. Please give us more stories about what borderline racist statements Rush, Glenn and Sean make. Even though 99.8778% of the people here don’t watch or listen, I think it’s real helpful to hear every little questionable statement these guys make. Keeps our minds focused on these silly topics…

@Newsone-I had to come back and add this statement. I would like to see more of the good progress that President Obama has done spoke on this topic. Also I would like for you to stop promoting racism threw topic like Rush L and Glenn B or anyone else who is white and racist toward blacks. Why would you as a black net promote such trash? As a black person living here in America I know that its still racist white people among us. And by you speading their racist remarks give them what they want and thats for their voices to be heard. They got talk shows let the trash promote their racism threw their own show not here for us to see. I think, NewsOne, you are doing a pretty good job. I know it is difficult to cater to every element of any group of people with a certain limited set of resources, so thanks for what you’ve done so far. It would be good to offer a feature sorta like CNN’s iReports where black people in every hood can submit articles or reports about what’s really going on in their neck of the woods. Also, a feature that allows more freelancce writers to contribute to the overall body of journalistic and editorial work on your site. That would make you one of the best and most relevant news org on the planet.

Overall, you guys are doing a good job. If a topic doesn’t interest me, i don’t click on the link. Just keep it moving. More should do that, rather than COMPLAIN little biatches!!

I would like to see articles that actually MATCH the headlines. I hate those misleading headlines that say ‘this’, but when you read the article, it says ‘that’. Enough of the misleading already. Not callin anybody out, but some on here do not read very well and will run and argue with incorrect information all day. Sometimes several days. Ex, the story about black women and herpes.
