Florida Gov. Candidate Picks First Black Female Rep. As Running Mate

GOP gubernatorial candidate Rick Scott on Thursday morning announced that state Rep. Jennifer Carroll of Jacksonville will be his running mate as lieutenant governor.

`I am honored that Jennifer is the first African-American Republican woman to be part of a statewide ticket in Florida,” Scott said.

`Jennifer Carroll is the embodiment of the American dream. She came to America as a young girl, decided to serve her country with the United States Navy, pursued a higher education, started a small business, and then was elected the first African-American female Republican in the Florida Legislature,” said Scott, who launched a new website featuring his new running mate (www.ScottCarrollforFlorida.com).

    Do not Vote for Rick Scott. He robbed Florida State Medicaid for billions of dollars. He should be in jail. Scott was able to walk away with a fine of 1.6 billion dollar fine. If he is elected governor of Florida, you will be giving him a blank check.

    Do not vote for Rick Scott. He has already robbed Florida State Medicaid if billions of dollars in fraud. He was able to walk away with a fine. Electing him Governor, will just give him a blank check. He chose Ms. Jennifer Carrol to get the Black Vote.

    I say to all people, please VOTE in your best interest, Rick Scott does not have your best interest at heart.

    People talk all the time about how Democrats mess up. Rick Scott got issues. Major issues. The Republican party would have done better by having her on the top of the ticket instead of as a running mate. Rick Scott is damaged goods. Mrs. Carroll seems like a Republican candidate that could persuade both Democratic and Independant voters!

    @Cemebe I hear you and agree but also have a question. Who has our/your best interests at heart? Politics is NOT the way to fight for the people, never has been. If you notice, ALL those who have done good things for the masses, never did it via politics.
