OPINION: “Queen Michelle” Should Stick To Ceremony
By News One July 1, 2009 12:14 pm
From Politico:
Michelle Obama wants a bigger role in her husband’s administration, according to The Washington Post. Unlike Laura Bush, who focused on a few peripheral issues, Obama wants a seat at the table when key policies are made.
Obama’s new chief of staff, Susan Sher, is part of the crucial 8:15 a.m. White House staff meeting. The first lady’s team of more than 20 has been told to think “strategically” about how to make her a player on policies she cares about.
This could be a very bad idea.

Excuse me: Obama was elected president, not his wife. Boy, talk about egotistical and drunk with power and position…Give it a rest Michelle!
NOT A GREAT IDEA; she is the wife, NOT THE PRESIDENT. If she wanted in before then she should have spoken up. But then Eleanor Roosevelt ran the white house so it wouldnt be a first time this happened.
Good lawd!!!
Yes, she should be allowed to join the table if she chooses, she has the president’s back and he has hers.
I’m sorry, HOW is this a bad idea again? You have to highly educated individuals who both have extensive experience creating, defining, & setting policy for PUBLIC institutions, charities, & other urban organizations. So HOW is this a bad idea again? Or is just is just the uneducated making an uneducated statement against those who have worked so hard to achieve what they have?
Considering they both have Ivy League educations, I would say that as a country we are getting a two for one team. Haven’t had it since Bill and Hilary.
Chris Rock said it best When a black man becomes president with a black wife that means “WE” the president!!! GNR
