OPINION: Who’s Behind Black Crackpots?

Maybe I’m just naïve, but any time a Black person does anything truly irrational, I start to wonder who’s behind it.  I mean, it’s not that we’re perfect. We like 26″ rims on cars with strawberry colored exterior paint with interiors the color of vanilla pudding. But while I see this as more eccentric or idiosyncratic, bringing a gun to a Barack Obama rally and wishing our president dead – like Chris Broughton did – is definitely certifiable.

And maybe this is where my old age kicks in. Maybe it’s because I’m old enough to know, if not remember, that Malcolm X and Elijah Muhammad were actually trying to reconcile their differences but because the FBI had kicked into high gear a program of misinformation, forged letters were sent back and forth between the two men, further estranging them.

Maybe it’s also cause I know that when the Chicago authorities (police included) tried to ramp up a war between the Black Panthers and another local area Black group, the Blackstone Rangers, local Panther leader Fred Hampton was shrewd and fearless enough to squash that beef on his own; putting him in the position where the Chicago Police Department ultimately had to kill him themselves, while he slept in his bed.

Huey Newton’s death was always fishy to me. But maybe that’s just me being paranoid.

And I guess it’s because Black people really don’t have a history of sweeping pathologically psychotic behavior. I mean, sure, we’ve had a John Muhammad or two, and even a Colin Ferguson (who some Blacks, mind-numbingly enough, are actually proud of!), but no Mansons, Dylan Klebolds, Eric Harris’ or John Wayne Gacys, Lee Harvey Oswalds, Ted Bundys… the list of white loonies goes impressively on and on.

So when I see a nut like Chris Broughton and he’s arguing his so-called minister Steve Anderson’s stance that Barack Obama should be “aborted” or die of brain cancer like Ted Kennedy; saying anything just short of committing the felony of threatening the life of our president, am I wrong in wondering who made some Black people so crazy?

    Anyone who goes against the bible which is the “blue print” of christianity,can’t be christian let alone a pastor,and there’s no excuse they can use.

    I grew up in an Apostolic church, that my family attrended everyday except Tuesday. My pastor always said that when an individual prays a pray that’s not for the uplifting of another human being, and the prayer is prayed to do harm upon another human being that whatsoever you pray is the future that you have brought brought upon yourself. You would think that a preacher of any caliber would know that. Guess not! If the pray of harm doesn’t come back on you one of your family members may become the unattended victim. Be careful what you pray for someone you love just might get it.

    That’s been a great concern of mine and maybe some of the black leaders are addressing this and I just haven’t read it. His c**kiness and gum chewing were discerning as well. He enjoyed this display of craziness and using religion to validate it; is equally chilling. I do believe these groups and that includes the moderates on the right who aren’t addressing this matter are setting our President up for an assassination.

    This is when we need some gang members to do their “initiation” on that silly as NIGro carrying a gun and saying Obama should die. Instead of a gang member attacking another black person struggling like they are!

    And as far as the bible being a “blue print of christianity”, doesn’t the bible say that blacks should be slaves and accept our “lot in life?” I’m always leery of ANYONE who picks and chooses which parts of the bible to follow and which parts to ignore. ESPECIALLY when that choosing is usually done to uphold their F**KED UP POINT OF VIEW!!!!!

    You don’t need the bible to have a relationship with the creator. Because if people are honest, they will admit that the bible has been rewritten many times before. So unless you are going back and reading the ORIGINAL SCRIPTS AND HIEROGLYPHICS they have now idea as to what the creator said!!!
