I have listened to the representatives, members of the black caucus, newsmen and women, but outside of the politics in America, we must go back to the source of our problems in the black communities. It continues to stem back to the family and the loss of values within our black families.
I have worked in corporate America for years and also in the school system teaching our youth and as said in the pass, “you can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make them drink”, and this continues to be a challenge with our teachers. There are so many family family problems and distractions that they tune you out and don’t even want to learn. This has been the majority of students.
What can we do in our communities to enhance the rebuilding of the family unit where problems are discussed and needs are met at home, which keeps the youth from looking for this attention elsewhere?
Let’s talk about this and work on it and it will solve a large proportion of our black community problems. Teach them respect, a working ethic, and a love for others.
A concerned citizen.
