Of course America is at war with Islam. Asking the question of a panel of ill-informed individuals doesn’t provide insight. Open the book, “Milestones” and “The America I Saw” by Sayyid Qubt, the mindset of the Muslim Brotherhood. Learn why the Brotherhood was formed. Introduce the deceit of the West, the corrupt interventions of Western secret forces and military into Muslim lands. Open the discussion of Israeli-American alliances, Arab-American alliances and Pakistani-American alliances. Discuss the overthrow of Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan. Bring the timelines into the picture from the end of WWII to the present day. Just discuss the facts of U.S. involvement in the Mideast from that time to this and you see the thread emerge.
When you see how the Brotherhood began to rise and expand, you see when and where it expanded and the activities of it. You also see, at the same time, the processes of the west and its expansion and military targets. There doesn’t need to be any conclusions drawn or fingers pointed. Just introduce the facts upon which everyone can agree and the story becomes crystal clear.
By failing to know our history, we have become ignorant of our role in the world. We have accepted that everything we do is good and all our enemies are bad. But the facts clearly state that we have a very short-sighted view.
Islam has been under attack for decades. The Brotherhood is the extreme faction of Islam that seeks to protect Muslim lands by driving out is invaders.
The propaganda surrounding the storyline has muddied the ability of Americans to understand or see clearly the players and the roles through the history from WWII to the present. If media were to take a proactive approach to bringing clarity to the issue of the war with Islam, that would be a positive step toward informing Americans and the rest of the world as well. It would also bring about a change of heart in the electorate, which currently is swayed by the meaningless slogan, “support the troops.”
