Roland: America Needs “Marriage Counseling” Over Race

Washington Watch’s Roland Martin spoke to a panel about what dialogues about race have been looking like since the election of Barack Obama. While one white activist firmly stated, “We are NOT in post-racial America,” he agreed with Roland that continued conversations on this topic are necessary and healthy.

You cannot be serious–It’s been over for 600 years….I think this relationship should have been over a long time ago. How many ways do white ppl have to tell black ppl they don’t, as a whole, like you. It is not in their best interest to intigrate wit black ppl if for no other reason, than our dominant gene. It’s time to end this abusive marriage. But like many women who stay with their loser husbands/boyfriends we will stay and make excuses year after year…How sad we are as a ppl..with all our great contributions to this country and our storied history and civilization in Africa– we are now no more than a battered spouse.
