Citing national security concerns, the Obama Administration is fighting hard to keep government videos and footage of Osama Bin Laden classified.
The U.S. Justice Department filed a motion on Monday to dismiss a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit by Judicial Watch, a conservative watchdog group, who requested the images.
“We shouldn’t throw out our transparency laws because complying with them might offend terrorists,” Tom Fitton President of Judicial Watch said in a statement. “The historical record of Osama bin Laden’s death should be released to the American people as the law requires.”
