I am so glad to be African-American it feels so wonderful mainly because of what Martin Luther King Jr, stated and for what is going on in this present time a Black President who is for all no matter what color the skin is.

I am so proud to be a educated, professional, altruistic Black Woman in this era alive to see a Black President in the “White” House. The day I actually read Dr. Martin Luther King’s “I have a Dream” speech in it’s entirety a tear came to my eye. He wanted so much for us…he wanted a better way of life for us because he knew we deserved it and we were worthy. Although he was killed before I was born, I knew as a child that he was someone important to us as a people. As an adult, I feel like my momma and my gramma must have felt for MLK as I feel for Barack Obama today. I was not following the election but when I tuned in I knew he was going to win.
Dwaynehollis2 you said it right when you said “Dr. King was a great man. I wish that he would have been able to see America’s first black president”.
I’m just so Black & Proud and i’m sayin’ it loud:)
Go to Whitehouse.org and see how far we have come as a people when President Obama’s picture is placed as The United States of America’s 44th President.
Michelle Obama my hat goes off to you with a curtsy as well.
The First Black Lady…sheesh and I thought that was my title:) YOU GO MICHELLE!!!!! I AM PROUD TO BE A BLACK WOMAN.
and I LOVE MY RACE BECAUSE WE ARE WINNING!

Dr. Martin Luther King came, saw and conquered! He left his footprints in the sands of time for generations unborn to follow: that non-violent protests and agitations, constructive dialogue and equitble rights are a sure ways to INSPIRE CHANGE!

See you at the rapture, Dr.!

MLK was a great leader and helped pave the way for African Americans such as myself, without people of his strength and desire to want more where would I be?

My name is Victor Charles Boatman, and I’m African American. My description has a mole like sack on my left side of my head, with a penny slot like birthmark on top of my head. I’m never a man in the strict sense, which’s Messiah. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was an accuser of the brethren. Here’s how: He said that we could never really defeat Satan, but we won’t coincide with his immoral nature. Satan is my description being a man, which’s a strong delusion, that God will send. He said he may not make it there, with you! He was an accuser of the brethren, which’s a demon or a terrorist, until I finally come, from abroad. I will return him back to being mine angel. It’s a terrorist holiday! OBL

  • 1-16-2009 10:17 am

WITHOUT THIS MAN WHERE WOULD WE BE TAKE OFF ON THE HOLIDAY..

  • 1-16-2009 1:48 am

He was a King in every sense of the word and an instrument of God.

  • 1-16-2009 1:10 am

I really wish I could have met him out of anyone else.
