Michael Steele Calls Obama “Liar” Then Apologizes
Michael Steele filled in for radio host Bill Bennett’s show yesterday and once again put his foot in his mouth and got in trouble again when he tried to remove it. This time it wasn’t Rush Limbaugh who he apologized for criticizing but President Barack Obama.

OBAMA [audiotape]: I’ve made a firm commitment that health care reform will not add to the federal budget deficit over the next decade.
STEELE: [shouting] LIAR! Sorry, I had to get that off my chest. We need to stand up and say this. Come on!
Here’s his apology.
STEEEL: I get hotheaded from time to time, so I just want to let folks know that in the last segment, I went a little strong in my response to the president’s comment, and I don’t want to go there. Because that’s not what this is about. … For all those folks out there who want to go start blogging, uh, just calm it down, you know. RNC chairman’s not trying to be crazy first thing in the morning.
Now he denies his apology
CALLER: Well I’ve been listening to you, and earlier you called the president a liar, and I said, Yeah, he’s finally got there! He’s finally decided to tell them how it is! And then you apologized —
STEELE: No I didn’t apologize! … Look, I’ve got to be mindful of my, quote, position and so forth. I always took great offense to the fact that the Democrats disparaged President Bush. They disrespected the man, and they disrespected the office that the man held. And I’ve said from the beginning of my chairmanship that we did not want to do that. … I’m not backing off of the fact that I think there’s a lot of misdirection, and there’s not a whole lot of honesty that’s being laid out there for the American people.

Michael Steele is your quintessential Uncle Tom. This fool or tool can’t even see that the GOP is using him like a puppet on a string. Rush Limbaugh, John McShame, Newt Gingrich, & the other Right Wing puppeteers tell Michael to jump. Steele replies, “How High”? One day I hope he wakes up and realizes he is just a decorative ornament for a party that played us all (entire nation) for fools for the past 8 years.

I cannot stand Michael Steele; he’s an idiot, a liar, an opportunist, and a fool. His role as RNC chairman is just so they can have a mascot and a scapegoat as necessary. You can bet I’ll never apologize for any of that.

Michael Steele is such a tool! And I believe that Obama is hypocritcal (when it comes to pot and tobacco). Actually I don’t agree with the Guantanimo Bay situation completely either. But politicans will tell you that they can turn your urine into uranium to get a vote! And if you think about we could have had John McLame in office. Oh, and that “all natural” s**te is about as big as a con that you can be swindled into. So called “health food” is usually priced higher than the regular s**te! You can do organic this and that and still be killed in a car accident! All you have to do is read labels and stay active.

Hey Casey…the fact is, he didn’t apologize…your interpretation of that is a little misguided i believe…He simply said he went in strong, but he never apologized for using the word a liar…and I have news for you…All these politicians are liars…Lying is a skill set that is needed for any political position in this country..So I agree with him, Obama is a liar, but that is par for the course.
