Top 10 Ghetto Ways to Support Obama

President Barack Obama’s inauguration fundraisers had no problem capitalizing on a hot market for keepsakes. Their sales of Obama souvenirs reaped $2 million for the inaugural committee.

When added to the $53 million in individual donations disclosed by the committee earlier this week, those sales boost total inaugural fundraising to about $55 million.

White House spokesman Josh Earnest said the inaugural committee is debt-free. He said the swearing-in celebrations cost about $50 million.

Inaugural fundraisers sold a wide range of items carrying Obama’s name and image. Mementos included clothing, jewelry, glassware, artwork and even decorated piggy banks, rulers and coasters.

Obama’s predecessor, President George W. Bush, raised $40 million to $42 million for each of his two inaugurations.

    one of my friends has that iced out obama watch and I must say they pretty fly, but I thought the ice cream from ben and jerry was a cute play on words.
