The walls have been closing in on Paterson for weeks (with plenty of help from the NY Times, which is enthusiastically reporting every detail and angle of his downfall).

Paterson falsely testified under oath during an ethics investigation into his acceptance of free World Series tickets last fall, according to the State Commission on Public Integrity, which announced on Wednesday that it had asked prosecutors to determine if criminal charges should be brought against the governor.

This ethics charge is merely the latest in what is fast becoming an avalanche of accusations of shady behavior for N.Y. governor David Paterson.
