“I’ve been recording for five decades, and I knew that old over-the-fence feeling on this one,” Williams said in an interview Monday afternoon.

He’s also scheduled to appear on “The View” and “Hannity” on Tuesday to discuss the uproar that sprung up after he made an analogy that President Barack Obama and House Speaker Rep. John Boehner golfing together was like Nazi leader Adolf Hitler and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu playing a round.

ESPN decided to pull Williams’ intro from last week’s “MNF” telecast after the comments, and the move became permanent Thursday when both sides said they’d decided to pull the spot.

Williams wrote the topical third verse of “Keep the Change” when he woke up around 4 a.m. Friday. He borrowed a guitar once owned by George Jones to write the melody and was in a studio with a group of musicians by 4 p.m. The song was done by 5:30 and was being mastered Monday morning.

“It’s got to be one of the fastest (I’ve recorded),” Williams said.

It’s now available for free for 48 hours at Williams’ website. There also are new “Hank Jr. for President” T-shirts for sale.

In the song, Williams, son of country music icon Hank Williams, says “Fox & Friends” hosts twisted his words: “So Fox ‘n Friends wanna put me down/Ask for my opinion/Twist it all around.” He finishes the verse: “Well two can play that gotcha game you’ll see.”

Early in the song, he says the U.S. is “going down the drain” and says it’s becoming “The United Socialist States of America.” He mentions keeping “Fox & Friends” and ESPN out of your home toward the end of the song.

Asked to elaborate on how he felt about “Fox & Friends,” Williams said: “All you gotta do is listen to the song, folks.”

Williams’ comments last Monday drew unlikely reactions with many commentators and comedians coming to his defense, claiming ESPN was infringing on his right to free speech. His defenders included the left-leaning Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar of “The View” and Jon Stewart of “The Daily Show” and on the other side of the political landscape Sarah Palin and Rush Limbaugh.

And “Saturday Night Live” also did a comedy bit featuring the Williams interview.

Of his appearance on “The View,” he said: ‘It’ll be pretty simple. I’m really looking forward to it. I guess it’s kind of like back to John Adams and Johnny Cash and The First Amendment and all that good American stuff.”

Williams’ theme song has been part of “MNF” since 1989. The song was a version of his hit “All My Rowdy Friends Are Coming Over Tonight” that he altered to match each week’s game. He owns the song and all the rights to it, so ESPN will not be able to use it in any way.

Instead, the network says it will use an intro featuring Hall of Fame running back Barry Sanders and soul singer Jimmy Scott prior to the Chicago Bears at Detroit Lions game Monday night. The introduction will change each week.

Williams has already moved on. The quickness with which the new song came together has him itching to put out a new album and he’s in the early stages of planning a tour for next year. If he can find the time.

“Believe it or not, I have another 212 call,” he said in ending the interview, referring to the area code for New York City.

The study, which examines “reverse discrimination,” a term used to describe anti-white discrimination, contrasts the opinions of Americans who say they most trust Fox News against Black and Muslim respondents.

Among Americans who say they most trust Fox News, 26 percent say reverse discrimination is a critical issue, and nearly twice as many as say discrimination against minority groups is a critical issue (14 percent). At the other end of the spectrum, only 8 percent of Americans who most trust public television say reverse discrimination is a critical issue, compared to 27 percent who say discrimination against minorities is a critical issue.

From there, Ingraham and Rangel kept talking past each other. She fired question after question at him–about the War on Poverty, about liberalism, about President Obama–and he kept objecting to each question as it was asked.

Fox News’ news-aggregation website, Fox Nation, made an odd and many say “race-baiting” editorial decision Friday when it splashed a story about Obama’s birthday over its homepage with the headline “Obama’s Hip-Hop BBQ Didn’t Create Jobs” and a photo of Obama next to three black celebrities who attended.

The report, which aggregated a Politico story, goes on to detail the menu, guests and R&B, jazz, hip-hop and Motown performances at the event. The report does not mention the performance by white rock band OK Go.

The article, published Friday morning, generated more than 2,000 comments and substantial objections from people who found it to be inaccurate at best and racist at worst. Media Matters for America, a progressive group that campaigns against Fox, asserted that the article was part of a pattern of “race-baiting headlines and content” on the Web site.

The sworn deposition by Patricia Kavaler, an assistant commissioner for personnel for the FDNY, was entered as evidence in a case where Black firefighters are trying to secure protection against discrimination.

In 2010, a judge ruled the FDNY must revamp its hiring practices because they discriminated against Blacks.

“This is ‘boys being boys,’” Kavaler said in describing the calls from firefighters vouching for the candidates. “That sort of thing.”

Fox News political analyst Juan Williams went on the Sean Hannity show to discuss the current debt crisis.

Williams, who many describe as a moderate, defended President Obama from Hannity’s verbal assaults.

Hannity, who is a Republican, claimed that Obama has been the “worst ideologue to ever live in that house on Pennsylvania Avenue.” He also said that Obama has spent way too much since he’s come into office and is a far-left liberal.

Williams blasted Hannity for his comments calling him “myopic” and “dishonest.”

“This man isn’t a far left president when he is conceding so much in these debt talks to the Republicans,” said Williams.

Sources told the Sunday Mirror  that a “bad” ecstacy pill and a combination of alcohol may have killed the singer.

Though police are operating under the assumption that Winehouse died of a drug overdose, an autopsy is scheduled for Monday or Tuesday.

“When he went to wake her he found she wasn’t breathing,” a Winehouse friend told TMZ. “He called the emergency services straight away. He was very shocked. At this stage no one knows how she died. She died alone in bed.”

The UK Telegraph reports:

He first alleged that the records were obtained by researchers in the “brain room” in 2005 in an article on his website about the launch of the channel.

Most people thought it was simply the research department of Fox News,” he wrote. “I knew it also housed a counter intelligence and black ops office. So accessing phone records was easy pie.

The Telegraph also reports that an unnamed Fox executive claimed that Fox created an atmosphere similar to “Soviet Russia” and had multiple spies that had employees fearing for their lives.

5. Col Allan. Editor Of The New York Post

Col Allan is the Australian born editor for Rupert Murdoch’s flagship U.S. paper, The New York Post. Like Fox News, The Post combines tabloid journalism with racism and right-wing propaganda. Allan was at the center of the controversy of the Obama-Chimp cartoon drawn by Post cartoonist, Sean Delonas, which seemingly both called the President of the United States a chimp and called for his assassination.

Former Post employee, Sandra Guzman, sued the paper and Col Allan claiming that Allan showed female employees pictures of men’s penises on his Blackberry; and would rub his penis on female employees, and sexually harass them. Guzman would also claim that Post employees would make fun of non-white employees heritage, and that non-white employees were fired unjustly. In the lawsuit she claimed that the Post’s goal was to “destroy Barack Obama.”

4. Andy Coulson, Editor, News Of The World

Andy Coulson is part of the English phone-hacking scandal that is currently threatening Murdoch’s media empire.

In 2008, Coulson was successfully sued for $1.2 million for “bullying” by a former employee. The New York Times reported that Coulson encouraged employees to illegally hack into people’s voicemail, and Channel 4 reported that he listened to illegally intercepted voicemails himself. Like many Murdoch employees, Coulson blurred the line between journalist and political operative, becoming Director of Communications for U.K. Prime Minister, David Cameron.

3. Glenn Beck. Fox News Host

Although Beck is now gone from Fox News, he is still one of Murdoch’s worst employees.

Beck propagates wild conspiracy theories, while demonizing President Barack Obama as a Hitler-like communist who plans on bringing back slavery and concentration camps. Murdoch said he agreed with Beck’s claim that Obama was “racist” and “hated white people.”

2. Judith Regan. Fox News Host/Regan Books Publisher

Judith Regan was partners with Murdoch for ReganBooks — her own book publishing company — and was a former Fox News host.

Regan caused controversy with her book with O.J. Simpson, “If I Did It,” in which Simpson gave a detailed confession of what would have happened “if” he killed Nicole Brown Simpson. Regan had arranged for a confession from Simpson to air on Fox News, but both the book and confession were canceled after backlash.

Regan would go on to sue NewsCorp for $100 million after she was fired for allegedly making anti-Semitic comments. Regan claimed that she was forced by Fox News head, Roger Ailes, to lie to federal prosecutors about an affair she was having with Bernard Kerik, Rudy Giuliani’s right hand man and former President Bush nominee for Secretary of Homeland Security. Regan would receive an eight figure settlement  from News Corp, and Kerik would later be convicted and jailed for conspiracy, tax fraud and making false statements.

1. Roger Ailes. Head Of Fox News

Roger Ailes has been masking right-wing propaganda as “Fair and Balanced” news since before Fox News was thought of. Ailes began as a media consultant for Richard “Tricky Dick” Nixon and has been manipulating the media for right-wing causes ever since.

After Obama was elected, Ailes would continue these attacks against Obama and his associates, making big issues out of ACORN, the New Black Panther Party and Van Jones. Under his guidance, Fox News propelled the anti-Obama Tea Party to a serious national movement.

One of Ailes suggestions for the Nixon campaign was to plant a racist at a townhall to ask Nixon about the n-word.

To balance an obligatory “Negro” on a panel in Philadelphia, Ailes dreamed of adding a “good, mean Wallacite cab driver.”

“Wouldn’t that be great? Some guy to sit there and say, ‘Awright, Mac, what about these ni**ers?’”

Ailes was responsible for the infamous Wille Horton anti-Dukakis ads while working for George Bush Sr., which pundits said used race-bating and fear to garner support for Bush. Of the ad, Ailes said:

“The only question is whether we depict Willie Horton with a knife in his hand or without it.”

Ailes would go on to produce right-wing bigot, Rush Limbaugh’s, short lived syndicated TV show in the nineties.

In 1996, Ailes founded Fox News with Rupert Murdoch. Ailes would incorporate talking points from Fox News directly from the Bush White House, and Fox News would defend and support Bush’s choice to go to war in Iraq and Afghanistan.

In the 2008 election, Ailes started his attack on candidate Barack Obama by jokingly mistaking him for Osama Bin Laden. His army of Fox News commentators and hosts would demonize Obama as Muslim, a socialist, and a militant African. Ailes would use the same race-baiting scare tactics he did with Willie Horton to turn Reverend Wright, and Michelle Obama’s alleged “Whitey Tape” into scandals.

Since the election, Ailes has continued his attacks on Obama. Scaring his white, uneducated demographic with made up scandals about ACORN, the New Black Panther Party, and rapper Common. Ailes has been a champion for the anti-Obama Tea Party movements and the ridiculous birther movement. There are rumors that Ailes may be the next Murdoch employee to undergo a government investigation due to his dealings with Judith Regan and Bernard Kerik.

Some have even characterized him as the devil himself.

Media outlets, Fox News adversaries and liberal pundits alike have taken advantage of the media tycoon’s tumultuous fall.

Certainly, the bias and somewhat racial-innuendo reporting of Murdoch’s Fox News has garnered the company some obvious opponents: Democrats, African-Americans, left-wing supporters, Obama supporters, etc.

Fox News reporters have covered stories alluding to the president’s race with comments like “Hoodlums” and “Hizzouse,” brow-raising mishaps like mistaking Osama Bin Laden’s name with Obama’s, and the controversial, doctored video falsely implicating Shirley Sherrod of racist commentary, just to name a few.

With all considered, one could easily draw conclusions as to why so many seem to relish in Murdoch’s ruin. For years, Murdoch and his conglomerate have been loathed for its alleged right-wing bias and agenda-driven reporting. Now, with an open investigation implicating Murdoch’s British tabloid of corruption and phone hacking, many are hoping it will lead to the dismantling of his entire news empire.

Though Murdoch obviously is guilty of both harmful and innocuous yellow journalism, is all the media hate fairly warranted?

Yes, several Murdoch employees have been found guilty of unethical behavior, but is it really fair to socially indict Murdoch, without any concrete evidence that he is personally responsible for the immoral actions of his employees?

Theoretically, one can assume that if his “surrogate daughter,” Rebekah Brooke, and other top officials are implicated in what may be an unethically internal pattern, then Murdoch is involved in some way, no matter how minuscule it may be.

But such conjectures can only be taken with a grain of salt until proved otherwise.

So far, Murdoch has played his cards right. Upon the scandal breaking out, Murdoch immediately shut down News of the World, and even traveled to the UK to apologize to the family of the deceased young girl whose phone was hacked by reporters. He has even agreed to meet before the Parliament, whom will surely light fire under him. Whether one believes the sincerity of his apologetic nature, one must agree that he has handled the matter quite well.

It’s far too acquiescent to drag Murdoch through the mud. Maybe critics and the likes should wait for the investigation to conclusively link the immoral failings to Murdoch.

He may be guilty of bad journalism and personal gain, but guilty of corruption and masterminding a phone-hacking scandal?

We’ll have to wait for the law to determine that one.

On his CNN show “Reliable Sources,” Howard Kurtz condemned Fox News, which is owned by News Corp, for not covering the scandal in which its sister company is being investigated for corruption and phone hacking. Kurtz said by not dedicating coverage on the matter, Fox News “undermines its credibility.”

“When CNN has controversy, we always do it,” he said. Kurtz suggested that Fox News, which is known for its spirited reporting, is only “aggressive” when someone else is in trouble, alluding that the company is protecting its own.

Other media outlets have pointed out that CNN failed to report that Piers Morgan, who works for the network, is former editor of News Corp-owned News of the World, and may or may not be implicated in the Rupert Murdoch scandal as well.

Morgan said during an appearance on daytime’s “The Talk” that he expected the topic would be addressed. But he said, “I’m not going to join the Murdoch bashing.”

Upon the investigation, Murdoch closed down the tabloid, which was accused of hacking into the cell phones of deceased victims of the 7/7 London bombings.

Brooks is due to appear before parliament’s culture, media and sport select committee on Tuesday afternoon.

Rebekah Brooks has released a statement saying she is assisting police with her inquiries, and this was a pre-arranged appointment.

The Wall Street Journal reports (The Wall Street Journal is owned by News Corp):

The Federal Bureau of Investigation has opened a probe into whether employees of News Corp. might have hacked or attempted to hack into the private calls and phone records of Sept. 11 victims and their families, according to people familiar with the matter.

The investigation was opened Thursday morning, following a request a day earlier by Rep. Peter King (R., N.Y.) who heads the House Homeland Security Committee and whose Long Island district was home to many victims of the 2001 terrorist attacks.

Reuters reports:

“News International today announces that this Sunday, 10 July 2011, will be the last issue of the News of the World,” read the preamble to a statement from Murdoch’s son James, who heads the British newspaper arm of News Corp.

Hailing a fine muck-raking tradition at the paper, which his father bought in 1969, James Murdoch told its staff that the latest explosion of a long-running scandal over phone hacking by journalists had made the future of the title untenable:

A series of six tweets coming from the @FoxNewsPolitics account reported that Obama had been shot to death in Iowa and the shooter was unknown.

In a statement posted on its website later Monday morning, Fox News called the tweets “malicious” and “false.” It said the hacking is being investigated.

Obama plans to spend the July Fourth holiday at a barbecue at the White House with military families and administration staffers.

It seems that Glenn Beck has never learned the meaning of an offensive comment.

On his radio show today, the Fox News shock-jock said that he would be “uncomfortable” with a Muslim in his administration; echoing the same sentiment of Republican presidential hopeful, Herman Cain, who said last week he was unsure he could trust a Muslim in his administration.

“Do you feel comfortable in saying, ‘yeah, you know what? I’m not even going to check that guy on his stance on Sharia law,’” Beck said. He started to say that, although it wasn’t fair, he wouldn’t ask the same of a Catholic or a Baptist, but then backtracked, saying that, in fact, he might be “uncomfortable” with people from any faith, explaining, “I don’t trust anybody anymore.”

This isn’t new territory for Beck who once said he believes 10 percent of Muslims are terrorists.

Fox News proves time and time again why they are a laughable news organization. All in all, I get the joke. The only problem is that it wasn’t funny. Ironically in fact, it needed some comic relief. Maybe Gary Johnson should focus more on that campaign he so boldly speaks of than participating in this juvenile nonsense.

Sidenote: I do agree with Johnson’s stance on Obama’s foreign policy.

Political commentator Glenn Beck announced the launch of his own pay-for-access online news channel, GBTV, that will begin following his departure from Fox News at the end of the month.

The Daily News reports:

The subscription service will include Beck’s two-hour daily show, “exclusive documentaries,” video broadcasts of the conservative’s radio program, merchandise discounts, reality programming and live streaming of Beck’s events, like his upcoming Restoring Courage event in Israel.

His company, Mercury Radio Arts, says it will charge subscribers $4.95 a month for Beck’s two-hour daily show, or $9.95 for access to all of the programming.

In the past month, ratings for Beck’s ratings saw a double digit decline; his 5PM show was down 15% in P2+ and down 30% in 25-54, the most of any show on Fox News in May. According to a Fox News spokesperson, no replacement has yet been named.

Is a new day dawning for American politics? Well with pictures of congressional crotch shots floating around, mixed with the shot taker’s ridiculous denials, and publicized meetings between egotistical gas bags becoming commonplace, the answer is… no.

Yes, Obama and Osama sound a lot alike. But the reason for the consistent confusion of these names by award-winning journalists, seasoned copyeditors, and political thought leaders is not that simple. The repetition of this blunder is a Freudian slip that shows how far we have not come in terms of living the dream of a post-race America. A dream that many Americans ironically believe Barack Hussein Obama represents. (I wonder what Obama Bin Laden thinks.)

The challenge of keeping Osama and Obama straight might stymie the average American, but this inaccuracy has been replicated twice by FOX news, and by more respected sources like BBC, CNN and Salon. The staffers of these newsrooms are supposedly at the top of their game — and none of them can distinguish between an “s” and a “b”? The article commissioned by Salon is a detailed excuse for these inaccuracies, but doesn’t explain why these gaffes curiously don’t happen when people of European descent are involved.

There is something deeper at work here. Something achingly familiar. The overwhelmingly white news creators who confuse “Obama” with “Osama” are a sad reminder of the fact many still subconsciously believe “all brown people look alike.” This inability to notice the differences between people outside of one’s race is far more common than even liberal people want to admit. But we have all experienced it – being called the only other black person working in the same office, or being told by a stranger that you look “just like” an African-American celebrity that you bear no resemblance to. Calling Obama “Osama” reeks of this common human tendency.

The American Psychological Association posted a report on our penchant for generalizing, stating that “people place inordinate emphasis on race categories–whether someone is white, black or Asian–ignoring information that would help them recognize people as individuals.” This incapacity of the American news media to see people as individuals because of their race is a documented circumstance. A few recent examples include:

-In March of this year, The New York Post ran a picture of Keri Hilson with a story about Mary J. Blige.  Simple human error, of course.

-In August of 2010, the same paper published an extensive piece featuring BET founder Bob Johnson and Desiree Rogers, who had just been named CEO of Johnson Publishing.  The problem is that there was no connection between them, except that the name Johnson was involved, and they are both black.  So all black people look alike, and are somewhat related?  Explain that, linguists.

-And don’t forget the confusion of black newbie actress Rutina Wesley with veteran thespian Regina King in an Emmys photo caption in 2010. This mix-up stung the latter star so much that she penned a wrathful open letter to the media community. Maybe that happened because both of their names begin with “R.” Probably not.

The confusion of Obama and Osama demonstrates this propensity in the media towards mixing up all brown people, and their often “foreign” names. It’s an extension of the subconscious stereotyping that often takes place between whites and non-whites in this country. The fact that this is happening in such a public way is the only aspect of the situation that is new. Making excuses for it unfortunately isn’t new at all. (By the way, the editors of Salon should read my post on studies proving racism actually exists, and is often subconscious. They could have saved on linguists’ fees.)

These messy slips of tongue have stained the victory of our first black president with a shady reminder that there is something about him people will always see as different, because he is black with a Muslim name. This lurking attitude is unacceptable at this time from our culture creators.

This nation was designed from its roots to be the one place on earth where a human being could come from another culture and develop a new life based on earned status while retaining the best of one’s previous identity. The reason we have O’Briens, Olssons, and Zimmermans is because everyone comes from someplace else, and worked to fit in while loving who they are. And that worked pretty well, if you were white. Now is the time to extend that form of love between all racial groups by promoting true understanding of “foreign” names, foods, religions, holidays and other cultural aspects that infuse our great nation with its enriching diversity.

Names like Singh, Ali, and Abood should no longer feel so foreign – nor should the souls that bear these names. Recent U.S. Census results have made it clear that we need to get more comfortable pronouncing names like Rodriguez. We can open our hearts and minds to different kinds of people by retraining our ears and eyes to distinguish the differences between them. Seeing our differences clearly is a key way to demonstrate that we respect our varied citizens as full people.

So please Salon, and all you other large, professional news organizations: No more excuses. Get on the multi-racial bandwagon. Talk about the similar sounds between the Obama and Osama names, but also think about the underlying issues that make you seek out round-a-bout explanations for what is apparent, yet hard to admit. Get it together, and keep your brown people straight.  It might help if you hired some.

And knowing that you have these issues, get an extra proofreader.

Former Fox News anchor Keith Olbermann criticized the company on Twitter saying “Note Fox News has switched to “Usama Bin Laden” presumably so they don’t get caught calling him “Obama Bin Laden” for the second time tonight.”

As we all know, it’s easy to make a typographical error. But the Rupert Murdoch-owned Fox News is notorious for its conservative bias, frequently displaying favouritism towards the political right. A Pew Research poll in 2009 found that 47% of those surveyed viewed the network as ‘mostly conservative’, compared to just 11% for CNN and MSNBC.

Fox and Beck said the show will end later this year.

Fox News and Beck’s company, Mercury Radio Arts, said they will work together to create other projects for Fox television and digital.

Beck was a quick burn on Fox News Channel. Almost immediately after joining the network in January 2009, he doubled the ratings at his afternoon time slot. Fans found his conservative populism entertaining, while Comedy Central’s Stephen Colbert described Beck’s “crank up the crazy and rip off the knob” moments.

He was popular with Tea Party activists and drew thousands of people to the National Mall in Washington last August for a “restoring honor” rally.

Yet some of his statements were getting him in trouble, and critics appealed to advertisers to boycott his show last summer after Beck said President Barack Obama had “a deep-seated hatred for white people.”

More than 400 Fox advertisers told the company they did not want their commercials on Beck’s show.

Viewers also began turning away. Beck’s 5 p.m. ET show averaged 2.7 million viewers during the first three months of 2010, and was at just under 2 million for the same period this year, the Nielsen Co. said. His decline was sharper among younger viewers sought by advertisers.

Increasingly, the show began to be dominated by Beck standing in front of a chalk board giving his theories about the world’s troubles.

However, Beck has built a powerful brand for himself with a radio show and digital properties. A key Fox executive, Joel Cheatwood, is joining Mercury Radio Arts later this month.

“I truly believe that America owes a lot to Roger Ailes and Fox News,” Beck said in a statement. “I cannot repay Roger for the lessons I’ve learned and will continue to learn from him and I look forward to starting this new phase of our partnership.”

One of Beck’s most prominent critics — David Brock, founder of the liberal watchdog Media Matters for America — said that “the only surprise is that it took Fox News months to reach this decision.”

Bronx Borough President, Ruben Diaz Jr. countered Glenn Beck with his own statement.

It is unfortunate that, in an attempt to promote his ideology, Glenn Beck felt the need to attack Co-op City. Co-op City is a great place to live, evident in the fact that close to 55,000 people make their home there. Glenn Beck is wrong on just about every issue—from gun control to immigration to health care—and now he is wrong about the Bronx as well. Glenn Beck does not know the Bronx and does not know Co-op City, and it might be helpful to him to visit our borough and see the many wonderful things that are happening here before he runs his uniformed mouth in the future.

Atlanta — On Thursday’s edition of “Inside The NBA” on TNT, NBA analyst Charles Barkley ripped Tucker Carlson for saying Michael Vick should have been executed. Carlson made the statement while filling in for Sean Hannity on Fox News on Dec. 28.

“There’s some idiot on another station named Tucker Carlson, who called out Michael Vick,” Barkley said at the beginning of his rant. He started to praise Vick and wished him luck in the playoffs, then continued to fire at Carlson.

“Tucker Carlson, who’s a nobody. He used to work for us over here. We fired him because he sucked,” the NBA Hall of Famer said. “He said Michael Vick should be executed, which is total BS.”

If Michael Vick should be executed and given the same treatment that he gave the dogs, shouldn’t Peyton Manning and his brother Eli be shot like the deers they shoot when they go deer hunting? I’m not going to defend Michael Vick’s dogfighting, but he did his time and has repented. In many urban areas, pitbulls are used as a form of protection against burglars and robbers. They are trained and bred to be fierce and at times deadly. Many people who train and fight pits have a close relationships with those animals not unlike trainers who train boxers or jockeys or animal trainers.

It is true that some dogs who were injured in battle were electrocuted but how is that different than horse trainers who kill horses after the horses are injured in races According to PETA thousands of Greyhound dogs are killed as puppies in the name of “selective breeding” but the Greyhound industry hasn’t faced close to the criticism that Vick has.

The fact that PETA and others choose to go after Michael Vick is another way Black people are used as scapegoats for national problems. America is built on the killing of animals, from the clothes we wear to the food we eat. Hunting is still legal in several states, not so people can feed their families, but so a small group of people can amuse themselves by killing animals. The beef, chicken, pork, leather and dairy industries are all based on the killing and abuse of animals.

How is taking animals bred to fight and fighting them worse than shooting innocent animals for fun? How come PETA never criticizes squeaky clean All-American Quarterback Peyton Manning for his execution of deers but vilifies Michael Vick at every opportunity, despite everything he has done to repent? If Tucker Carlson is going to call for Vick’s execution shouldn’t he call for the execution of the Manning Brothers, and Fox News favorites Cheney and Rove?
